Has anyone paid with stanbic MasterCard today? Seems their rate has gone from 199.5 to 207 as mentioned by their CC.

the prepaid visa card is a dollar card. not naira. you bring your dollars and deposit it in the card. no account needed. that was what they told me. no go area for me

this is really bad.... and another thread says dollar now 208. so many fake news out there, i only believe the exchange rate on my card!!!! infant even if u exchange with ab.oki at 208, you can't do anything with it. no deposits again

lol still do.. IT'S d lowest out there for now... Infact They tried for months they have bin consistent I always knew it won't b forever except dollars starts dropping.... I sure enjoyed it but now u just av to accept it... And Note any transaction you want to make I guess it's better to do it now cuz tmrw the rates might increase again sad

UBA is 206.8 which is about the lowest but CBN banned them on withdrawals abroad.
Exchange rates vary and it depends on the load at a particular region at a time,.
For instance, in China where the load frequency of overseas withdrawal is high, the X change rate is about the highest about any bank. This is to ensure that the foreign reserve of each institution is not over withdrawn. Like a check and balance thing. NB: Nigerian debit cards don't work in China s POS.
I made a withdrawal using Stanbic MS card of 1700 yuan = 58860naira Today (215.6 naira/UsD) and I also made a payment online via PayPal merchant today( ebay) and it was about 207. Naira/usd. With the same card.
So it varies regionally and different channels.

I learnt the parallel market went down today to 215 from previous 240. So I gues all the card holders institution will adjust soon. Cos it's meant to be lower than the parallel market price.

Zenith bank is usually stubborn tho
