When the issue of registering the Islamic bank first came up, a lot of the so called intelligent ones and a certain punk-headed, libation-pouring pastor were up in agitation trying to prevent the registration. they claimed it was a northern agenda to islamize nigeria. It is well over two years (maybe over three years sef) and we are yet to see anyone forcefully converted since the bank has been operating.

Now the bank is coming to southwest yet the Biafra seeking bigots will not mind their biafra business. Is the bank coming to south east? lWhich one concern una with southwest now. No be una talk say southwest will be oduanistan? Just focus your energies on supporting Kanu and let southwest be - with or without Jaiz bank. let anyone (irrespective of religious affiliation) patronize Jaiz bank if s/he so wishes.

All I am concerned about is the TAX that the bank will pay the Oyo state government. We need all the companies we can get to come establish in our region. Let the bank also expand its operation to Ogun where there are countless of industrious people that will patronize it. Amosu should even give the bank some TAX holidays sef.

It is not an interest free loan as much as you would like to think. Go and do your research. Islamic Banking or Shariah Finance as it is usually referred to, is the biggest scam ever to have been perpetrated on the naive Muslim public.

Instead of paying market-related rates of interest on borrowings as they normally would at the regular banks, Muslims are instead charged extortionate rates of interest and this is now dishonestly called profit.

The moolas who sit on these Shariah Boards are the biggest beneficiaries of this rip-off of the Muslim communities. How sad to see piety betrayed by greed. How very un-Islamic! Oyo state people needs to be educated and really fast before they get even more stupidd. I was reading up on Oyo empire the other day, about how rich and successful it was. What a shame.

Yes, you passed through Ibadan and it was a long stretch of urban slums filled with poor people and dirty environment. Yes, thats how all Ibadan and Oyo state is. Infact one of those slum house is the State govt house, let me even justify your point the more. thers are no school in Oyo State, everything is slums like the 15 minute drive through experience you had. And these type of slums are only found in Ibadan and oyo state, not anywhere else in Nigeria or the world.

The average pepper seller or civil servant or better still the elites in Oyo state know what they are doing and did not invite Jaiz Bank to open up in ibadan. The Bank is free to open on every street in the state just like any other bank. kindly keep your lecture. An average Oyo state person is smart, and not gullible. they put their money where their mouth is. dont worry for them, let them worry for themselves.
