As pictures surfaced on the social media revealing the Sapele local government area Chairman, Mr Ejaife Odebala caught kneeling down before the Delta State House of Assembly Speaker, Mr Monday Igbuya; Secrets Reporters has reached out to him.

Speaking exclusively to Secrets Reporters, Odebala agreed that the pictures released are true and not a setup by anybody, but wondered why people should make a fuss out of him.

The council boss dismissed the notion that he went to Igbuya to save his political seat from impeachment by the councilors. “Fejiro, I have no issue with anybody. How can the councilors impeach me? I offended by elder brother and leader and went to apologise to him. Is there anything wrong in that?”

“Igbuya is my elder brother and the leader of my party in the area. He is the governor of Sapele being the Speaker of the Assembly and number three man in the State. My kneeling down to beg him is for personal issues not political. I offended him and there is nothing wrong with a younger brother apologizing to his elder brother”, he noted.

He affirmed that his Chairmanship seat is safe from any impeachment saga as being rumored in Delta State.

Odebala was a former two time member of the State House of Assembly and also contested for the gubernatorial race with former governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, an action which is believed wrecked him financially.

okay...but whatever he was begging for needs to be investigated...we must find out what was so critical as to warrant two grown fathers, kneeling down before a mere mortal....No No No...this is no longer democracy....

I don't know if it is just me, but it appears that the way politics and god-fatherism is practised in the south-south is totally diabolical and strange.

Seems more like a cult group.

this reminds me of how one general was begging Abacha...

A general that begged for his life or a general that dressed in skirt and blouse like biatch and run away leaving his people to die.

Who is crazier between the two ?

Nigerian politicians and comedy!

When last did you kneel for the electorates that put you there?

It is only a desperate and thieving politician that can subject himself to this kind of ridicule.

The problem with Delta State and indeed most south south states is that the wrong people - mostly uneducated/certified slaves are in power. This is a state where building of market and small gutters makes one an overnight millionaire.
