I am not a Closet homosexual, and I know very much about these Studies, as I have read them in depth even before you came across them, I believe, my problem with Homosexuality is that I see it becoming a trend in Nigeria, and it would be a very Dangerous Trend.

Let me make it perfectly clear the notion of homosexuality being "unafrican" is very wrong: the ancient africans practiced gay intercourse for reasons ranging from metaphysical,astral and spiritual rites to socio-economic preferences.
I am not advocating for gay marriage legalization,gay marriage is theoretically unfeasible.What i'm clamouring for is a society devoid of negative intolerance that leads to gay persecution and other gross human right abuses.
So far homosexuals do not publicize their private indulgences,we should let these people live their lives without unnecessary external interference.
If we insist on abolishing homosexuality,then we must also abolish polygamy.

Homosexuality is a Mental Illness! The American Society of Psychiatrists were forced to remove it from the DSM(IV) after thier lives were threatened by homosexual activists! Even today almost half the population of America kicks against homosexuality and the other 25%is silent about it so as not to appear progressive! Just because something has existed for a long time doesn't make it morally right!

well Evans...Nigeria have known about Homosexuals and their activities for a long time...we have been hearing of their action though they have always done it very quiety and behind close door....there was even a Gay bar in Lagos then...specially for gay people though it was never publicize. we knew about them but we decided to turn our face to the other side and pretend we don't know they exist...this problem started when this Movement of GAY right , ...more like a wild fire spreading from Europe , America,and some part of Asia as well as South Africa...the movement was supported by powerful forces to compel Africans to legalize it in their society....wont it have been better if they had allowed these gays in Nigeria to leave their life quietly without anyone raising an eye brow? That is, the right for consenting Homosexual men to marry consenting homosexual men, and Consenting Lesbian women to marry consenting lesbian women. Etc. But in all seriousness I am not surprised, I wrote about this here on nairaland almost two years ago, But what I am really surprised about is the growing rate of homosexuality amongst our young men in Nigeria. I don't know why this is so, is it due to the readily available Gay Porn content on the internet? or is it due to increase in Gay activism by Gay folks like Charly Boy and Denrele Edun, who are known and practicing homosexuals. I didn't believe this stupidity of a thing exist until two months after I departed Nigeria. I was approached by one of them in broad day light when I was busy enjoying ice-cream.
