How To Report A Blog That Stole Your Content by luigiajah(m): 6:09pm On Aug 04, 2015 |
Plagiarism is a very serious crime. How would someone spend time typing a valuable post then someone else will just steal the post without linking back to the source . In Nigeria most bloggers are experts at this that's why most Nigerian blogs are disapproved from adsense . Personally ,i hate when someone steals my content especially if it's a higher blog, it hurts. It makes you feel like they're making your efforts worthless and you are just working for them. I decided to share this post because of those that like copying and pasting other people's content. I can say that all the post on my blog were written by me and nobody else. I was annoyed when a certain blogger on a forum nairaland.com asked me whether there's an award for writing your posts yourself. I agree there is no award for it but when google and dmca comes for your blog you'll regret copying someone else's content. In the U.S and some other countries, plagiarism could get you arrested . In Nigeria it just seems like nobody cares if you copy their content because the law enforcement agency won't do anything. Now If you are a blogger and you find out that someone is copying your content here is what to do. If you keep copying people's content n the blogosphere, you don't deserve to be respected. if you don't know how to check if someone is stealing your posts just use copyscape.com or choose 28 words from the middle of any of your posts then google it. If someone steals your post , make a comment on the post asking him to link back to your blog or delete the post . If the person refuses or thinks you're joking just follow these steps. How to report 1. A BLOG WITH ADSENSE ADS GO TO https://support.google.com/adsense/contact/violation_report?rd=1 FILL THE FORM THERE WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE VIOLATION ADD YOUR LINK AND LINK TO THE COPIED POST. THEN CLICK ON SUBMIT. THE BLOG OWNER WOULD BE WARNED BY ADSENSE WITHIN 48 HOURS IF HE FAILS TO COMPLY HIS BLOG WILL BE BANNED FROM ADSENSE. 2. A BLOGGER BLOG WITHOUT ADSENSE FILE A REPORT TO BLOGGER AT https://support.google.com/legal/troubleshooter/1114905?rd=1/troubleshooter/1114905?rd=1 FILL THE FORM THERE WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE VIOLATION ADD YOUR LINK AND LINK TO THE COPIED POST. THEN CLICK ON SUBMIT. THE BLOG POST WILL BE DELETED ONE YOU'RE REPORT HAS BEEN REVIEWED. 3. A WORDPRESS OR TUMBLR BLOGGER WITHOUT ADSENSE FILE A REPORT AT DMCA.COM OR PLAGIARISMDETECTOR.COM. SAY NO TO PLAGIARISM. CREATE UNIQUE CONTENT. source :http://www.naijatechguy.com/2015/08/how-to-report-blog-that-stole-your.html cc ishilove cc lalasticlala 39 Likes 11 Shares |

Sorry to say... but it's a waste of your time. Google does not control internet. Google is not police of the Web. If you like report to Google. . Google cancel adsense (Which they may not because you might not even be the owner of the content) that does not end the blog or delete the post :p Even if it's WordPress. . Reporting to DMCA won't remove the post because DMCA is not recognize by Nigerian Constitution. So DMCA cannot even e enter the blog database in the first place let alone removing the post. So it's a waste of time as far as Nigeria is concerned. The real way to do it even though it may cost you... Locate the Web hosting company of the website (it might not even be a blog. Not all sites are blogs are they?) Report the issue to the Web host and wait for the Web host to take action. If the host does nothing, you may want to report to the Data center for copyright. The data center would contact the host and maybe compel them to take action. They may ask you to pay as a proof that it's really your content. That is the only global method that works. .Not Google or DMCA. That is for USA maybe 12 Likes 1 Share |

This is quite interesting, OP...the only challenge is that someone like me will need to be reporting other folks daily! What I have discovered (which works better for me) is to use Google Webmaster Tool to my advantage. Immediately I publish an entry, I 'fast forward' it and gets it indexed in mere minutes. ...Any half wit copying after that will see what happens when the next Google update comes onboard 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Why not just disable highlighting of text and images on your blog, this will stop text and images selection and if text can't be selected then it can't also be copied. Read further Disable text selection on blogs and website 2 Likes 1 Share |

vicdayo: That's an alternative too (once used a plugin to that effect). However, this seriously impairs user experience as right click is completely disabled. Visited a site that had such a 'precautionary measure' in place recently and had the worst experience online in recent times! 1 Like |

I just copied about a paragraph from one of my stories and did a google search, so many blogs actually copied my story word for word and concluded it with their names at the bottom. Glory How long will one continue to chase shameless bloggers with no lick of sense na? 2 Likes |

Experience the wrath of Oguun if you dare plagiarize even the smallest of sentence from my BLOG as it is protected by Shango and two more other Yoruban deities. Protecting your blog with Orisha energy against Nigeria religious hypocrites is the best else they won't desist. Nigeria Christians and Muslims converts sees nothing bad with what they do just as they usually do in all academia simply because, psychologically stating - they've been led to believe in the falsehood that certain idolatory gods of the Abrahamic religions are there to absolve their weekly sins in their weekly routined charade of forgiveness to which their clergy leaders consciously scam them on throughout the only nation borne of amalgamation. 3 Likes |
