gringringrin Imagine what hypocrisy and lies does to a people...

Since when did the word; "ZERO" equal tangible number irrespective of how negligiblehuh...

Buhari and APC lied...His supporters keep lying...and this is to go on for how long?...Why not open a thread and show us what it was before Jonathan plundered or brought them to where they are now?...Why not go through Badeh speech that your folks are twisting and take up buhari's too and then Dasuki's...and you will see what a liar without shame even at old age that buhari is...though worshipped like god by supporters...
Badeh said he was not given funds, Dasuki said he bought weapons that when we looked at them were disgraceful and not of commensurate quantity with amounts spent. Why are you still saying things you don't understand?. The administration of Good luck Jonathan was incompetent and mediocre in defence and security. The only thing they knew was cabalistic business , enriching a few at the expense of all of us.

OK, I don't like it when people tell so much lies.
Tell me how much was spent and justify why the weapons were "mediocre compared to the amount spent".
It is easy to criticize, it is harder to come up with logical arguments leading to constructif criticism.
Depending on how you answer these questions, your eyes are either blinded by politics or you are just a compulsif political campaigner (a liar).
And also, for your information, it doesn't take too much brain cells to do an analysis of the budget of the Nigerian military and security agencies to realize that the military had been kept for more than 30 years on a system in which the budget is merely enough to pay salaries and to do a little maintenance. That would be the view point of Air Marshal Badeh. It is only recently that things started changeing when the GEJ administration started procuring weapons for the fight against bht. I believe that adminisher is that fellow calling himself arejames on beegeagle's blog. He is a known anti-GEJ character.

Hatred forces people to lose their sense of reasoning just like you did yours...

According to Badeh;
“Despite these challenges, I am glad to note that a lot was achieved during our time in the fight against terror. The achievements are largely due to the commitment, patriotism, and fighting spirit of our men and women in uniform who saw the fight against terror as a task that must be accomplished no matter the odds and in spite of the campaign of calumny against the military by a section of the media and their foreign collaborators” he noted.

According to Dasuki;
“All these were acquired in the last one year after years of frustration by Western powers who denied us of the equipment and sabotage our efforts to acquire same from other sources which are reasons for some delay in delivery.”
According to him, some other arms already paid for by the previous administration are due to be delivered soon. “It was unfortunate that some elements are frustrating the efforts as we even had to query some suppliers for delay in delivery of arms and ammunitions,” he added.

Sometimes I wonder why people just can't use their brains to think. Why, just why did GEJ waited for six weeks to Feb. 28 2015 to combat Boko Haram? Isn't this the most prudent question to ask?.

Some even defended Dasuki when he said the weapons he bought were delayed and the U.S refused to sell Nigeria weapons, and I ask them, so the weapons where delayed from 2010 to six weeks to Feb. 28 2015? and it took GEJ that time to look to Ukraine, Russia and China to sell us arms?!.

Good God!. Engineerboat, Mixty, Mynd44. Questions to answer!.

I live in an army barracks and I ve seen firsthand, the level of rot in the army- the average soldier is 'underkitted' and 'underarmed'. All dis ur foto na wash. The soldier I see everyday still wears his worn boots and carries his rusty AK47 with a carpenter made stock.

First of all, please don't claim what you can't prove, so untill you prove that you live in a barracks, nobody should believe that claim. And I wonder what you mean by "the average soldier is underkitted". for your info an individual soldier who has access to a gun is not "underkitted". And in our case, we are talking about soldiers who even wear helmets and bullet proof vests and are provided a uniform allowance (to buy the uniform and boots from army shops). If you expected each soldier to be driving an apc or an mrap then you must have confused Nigeria with the Klingoln confederacy. As for the comment of "rusty ak", it is verry unfortunate that your idea of the AKM is that of something rusty. Even the Egyptian military still uses the AKM. Besides, please try and provide proof of anything you state. (eg: show us pictures of the soldier you are describing, don't expect people to believe you without proof, because one can never know whom he is addressing on the web).

Its so funny when we celebrate mediocrity in this country due to our lack of exposure. I would like to advise ocelot2006, engineerboat, etc who are uploading this pics & all those who want to expand their knowledge, to go online and research current military aircraft being used by even developing countries like Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Finland, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Brazil, Libya, Israel, etc of which we can say Nigeria is on the same financial/developmental level with. I tell you - Alpha Jets which you are celebrating here and which the NAF has always had ever since I was a teenager, were built in the 1970s and if you go to Germany were they were produced, you might only find them IN THE MUSEUM!!
I have said it before that if the Nigerian Airforce comes against the airforces of any of the countries mentioned above in any battle, the NAF can't last more than a day. The NAF won't last more than a few minutes if it faces the airforces of the developed countries like USA, Russia, France, China, etc.

The NAF is not in any position to defend the territorial integrity of this country; thats one of the reasons why Boko Haram still strives today. Infact if Boko Haram had access to their own military aircraft, perhaps most of these helicopters and Alpha jets would have been downed by now.

I have attached pictures of current military aircraft that any country who is serious about protecting its territorial integrity should have. The countries mentioned above have some, all or even much more of these aircraft as attached, in large numbers. Check online to verify.

As such, Nigeria is NOWHERE when it comes to the airforce, SO SORRY TO SAY!

Libya doesn't have an airforce, in case you have forgotten, muhamar kadaffi is dead and libya of today is an enclave for isis. As for Egypt, Israel, Turkey, Brazil, saudi arabia. We know that we are not at the same level with them. Forget about western military equipment, they will never sell to us. The Russian and Chinese military equipments are what we should be fancying besides making our own. And also, Ocelot was only trying to expose the truth because of all the political motivated lies we keep hearing. The truth is that Nigeria is such a divided country that Nigeria is afraid of having a very powerful military, that is why Nigeria has been trying to kill its own military for the past 40 years. But that started changeing under GEJ who went through a lot of trouble to provide equipment for the Nigerian military to fight the bht menace.

from ur post no 2, 3, 4 are manufacture by who, so you want GEJ to continue to beg OBAMA for him to allow usa and his western allies sell military hardware to us. Isnt that the same report brought back by PMB after his recent visit. Have u forgotten how france was setting up base in Niger and cameroun. While usa send his marine to Ghana, very funny.

Agreed that our military hardware is not enough, there is no denying fact there, we need more YES.

But we must start somewhere, but lies, denials and propaganda of what is on ground will not help this government.

Now we know some of what GEJ govt bought for our military, lets see how many addition PMB will add,
Good day

Is it proper for a soldier to leave maiduguri, come down to Lagos or Port Harcourt to come and get another pair of unifotm?

Troops at the frontlines were and are still under kitted. My friends' husbands keep coming down to Lagos and other places to buy new uniforms and boots. And you want to tell me that an Ediot procured equipment for soldiers.

Let the soldiers of the Adamawa front tell you their story you will weep for Nigeria.

Nigeria needs and wants a good and well equipped army. We have the size/personnel strength but not the standard equipment. Our equipment are outdated and not enough. We should be better equipped than Egypt, South Africa and any other African country in terms of WANTS and ability. We can be as equipped as the Royal Airforce in terms of NEEDS.
