Chuba Akpom scored on his debut today. He played 83 minutes of the game and scored the second goal for Hull City against Huddersfield in the 71st minute.

Another Arsenal loanee, Hayden played 90 minutes and got a yellow card during the game.

Still talking about future Arsenal stars, as I mentioned a few days back, Arsenal seem to have a gem in their hands. Already he's been tagged as the new Theirry. Let's not be too hasty though. Fortune scored the second goal today as Arsenal U19 beat PSV U19 (2-1) in the Durban Cup final in South Africa. He seems to have a trademark nutmeg move now. He nutmegged a player before nutmegging (is there such a word?) the goalkeeper to score the winning goal in today's game in the last minute. He scored a similar goal earlier on in the competition. He's only 16 but from the little I've seen, I won't be surprised if he's featured in a CC game next season.

Fortune and Jeff (who we all saw at the Emirates Cup) joined Arsenal a few weeks back from France.

your opinion though. But a full season with Giroud will yield more than 20 goals in the league alone bar injury. We need to make a real strong start,today. I hope giroud starts.

What Henry said is true. The IS NOT ready to play that role for Arsenal. The needs pace to operate and in that role, you have CBs and midfielders breathing down your neck. In our current system, Theo is better off playing from the right or left. If we were playing 442, perhaps a support striking role would suit him.

So unless Walcott is willing to go on loan to learn how to play the lone striker role, he should be satisfied with the role he's given at Arsenal

We must appreciate that Theo gives us a different brand of CF from what Giroud offers. That difference alone can unsettle teams when any come up as a sub. That said, Theo uses pace to make up for stamina, those sharp runs make defenders calculate 'where this one go run go now', plus Theo is one of the best finishers in England, his strike rate betters that of Aguero. Please confirm.

Nice to see someone who believes in Giroud; 14goals in 18games last season makes you wonder why we need another striker. My opinion is that Giroud is highly under-rated, so if a Benzema signing will make Henry see his true worth, no problem.
