Hi guys,

Long time.

Please guys, what sort of preparation is required for a F2 visa interview as my husband is going for one soon?

Also, is F2 visa supposed to be for someone staying through out the time the F1 applicant is in the US, or it can also be for someone desiring to shuttle while F1 applicant is in the US?

I need clarification.

I await your responses, seniors, zee, slimmy05, etc.

Thanks

I've had my experiences buying so called "branded products". e.g how many times can the iphone 5 survive q 30 cm drop; yet Huawei can fall n-times possible without a crack; like I said the exorbitant price is only for the brand name.
look at the case of apple watch
http://venturebeat.com/2015/04/30/apple-watchs-components-cost-just-81-20-highest-markup-of-any-apple-product/
you are confusing yourself the more. What you buy from Ali express are inferior goods, no difference from the Aba products.

Its for the both anyway. But on a safe side, let it be as if he would be shuttling (visiting for short stay) while you're there. Basically when asked how long he would stay shouldn't exceed 2/3 weeks.

It should be that he is spending either is annual or terminal leave with you.

O Beautiful People,

Which is better: 1. Travel with a few dollars, or 2. Travel with my Zenith Master Card that is enabled for foreign channels already?

I think I prefer the second, as I won't mind the charges. But then, I would like to know if there are demerits to that. Are there ATM points in airports?

The thing is that I don't think I have the time for going to banks for any PTA, or going to the money changers.

Good morning guud people. I had my Visa interview in dec 2014 and was put on administrative processing. Status was recently updated in July but admin. processing continue and i was told they will get back to me when they are through. Note, the interview went well and ll documents including my passport were given back to me. Now, with this process still in progress, can i apply for a visiting visa (one week stay).
I am a working class and certainly would get a backing letter from my office but dont want to complicate issues.Hence, this question. Thanks all.

Goo day guys please I need help. I went with my gtbank MasterCard to an atm in a store and tried withdrawing but it kept telling me unauthorized access. Could it be because I never used the card in an atm in Nigeria cos once I collected it from d bank, I activated it and came over here.

Thanks guys

You don't need cash here. Your card is fine for swiping. if you can get $100 cash won't be a bad idea too, but if you have someone picking you up, then you don't need it.

you don't pay rent with cash, go Walmart and buy money order or any post office. You can pay with your master card at any POS.

Visa approved @ the US Embassy, Abuja yesterday.

Got there around 6:30am packaged like a Jehova's witness with my documents' bag.

@7:30 am, we were checked in and did the biometric stuffs.
Fully composed waiting for my turn to reach, I was suddenly thrown off balance with the way people were denied espcially in window 8 (young white lady). Anyway, I decided to catch some fun with some funny stuffs going on there in order to regain my confidence.
(a woman pretended assumed to understand and speak only Igbo language, but when her visa was approved; she asked the attendant/usher why the VO seized her passport 'in pure English' grin ). .........
...It was certain that I would be interviewed by the 'window 8' lady, I tried using the 'toilet formula' but she was still very busy arguing about 'domestic violence' with one man there (for my mind.."oga no gree oh"wink.
The lady @ window 7 then called..

VO:.... (still smiling due to her conversation with the lady she just approved).
Me:....(confidence loading...99%)
VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning ( passed my documents)
VO: Have you been to US before?
Me: No
VO: Why this school?.
Me: It offers excellent research opportunities which tallies with my research interest.
VO: I can see you are going for masters in chemistry.
Me: Yes ma
VO: Why this program?
Me: I intend to be a lecturer upon the completion of this program,..( she starts nodding, still looking @ her computer...then continued typing).. so this program will equip me with the knowledge and research skills necessary for me to succeed as a lecturer.
VO: ...(glanced through my I-20 )..Wow! You got a very nice funding from the school.
Me: Yes ma
VO: May I ####
Me: Pardon.. (..didn't hear what she said)
VO:....(..comes closer to the mic now).. May I see your funding letter please.
Me: Ok....(passed the letter to her)
VO:.....(she perused it, then started nodding like agama lizard)
Me:...(hmm...Obago!!!)
VO: Your Visa has been approved...(she kept on talking but I didn't hear any other thing apart from when she was showing me the resumption date...)
Me: ..(now nodding like the real agama lizard cheesy , ... trying to make sure she doesn't mistakenly pass me my passport) Thank you!!

Very big thanks to Slimmy (de living saint), Seedord (Mr incredible), Profojah( Honorable Professor/Prophet), Bbdd(Mr 'who send you work' cheesy ) Bigfrancis (Chief chef), Walspring, Darklight, Kennyrony, Imperioux, MsNas, Zee..... abeg una plenty!! God bless you all.

so as soon someone gets an account either checking or savings or the two with a bank for instance US bank, do those credit cards start rolling in

No. You only apply for it if you want. You get the regular debit atm card when you open a checking or savings account.

I don't know why he is in a hurry for credit card. Some folks need to take a chill pill and settle down for atleast a semester before getting involved in issues of credit card. A lot do not even know how it works or the need to have it.

Thanks for your reply sir. Please will GTB bank give me cash in dollar if i request for PTA, or will it be converted to into my master card? Furthermore, i know it varies, but is rent usually paid per semester or per months?
