Awarding contract for 78 million can not be termed corruption until we see exactly the content, what was ordered against what was finally delivered. And if it really was a bloated contract to loot, who benefited, in whose account the money went and was the former governor directly instrumental in any way regarding the contract.

What you are doing is called assumption, rumor mongering and speculations..
Would have been all these big words assuming I didn't add the small "if".... we still wait for the man of the moment to clear the "if"..... unless you have some other information.

You said 78million for a website upgrade by a public servant for his personal website is a colossal amount of money and I can't see how to justify it unless he's a businessman.... but we all know he's not a businessman so you are still categorically saying 78 million is unjustifiable.

You have zero idea what the contract detail was or what was ordered and what was delivered so you can not offer any kind of rational or credible views regarding this issue, at least not till all the fact comes out.

The so called man of the moment did not award the contract, a state agency did so direct your concerns to that state agency.

It's like asking GEJ to answer and go to jail for the anomalies in all his federal ministries and agencies...

It doesn't cost much to formulate rational and intelligent views about issues...

Info Access Plus Limited will provide free technical support for the entire life cycle of the web site.

Info Access Plus Limited will manage the contents of the site, which consist of press releases, speeches, photos, videos, etc for one year.

Info Access Plus Limited developed and managed the first and only web-based 1-year Countdown Clock to May 29, 2015 on a 24-hourly basis off the back of this same service cost for a period of 1 year from 2014 to May 29, 2015.

Info Access Plus Limited developed mobile apps for the top four platforms, namely Apple iOS, Google Play, Microsoft Windows Phone 8 and Blackberry World off the back of this same service cost.

Info Access Plus Limited will provide free technical support throughout the life cycles of all these mobile apps also off the back of this same service cost.
Obviously, the services provided goes beyond just website or just one website, it's a one time fee service with lifetime commitment to not only develop the websites, but to also service and manage more than one website including the Lagos state Countdown website for LIFE.

N10 million for all that is a great bargain..

Bros, na God I take beg you... stop trying to defend the indefensible. cry

Not all those who visit nairaland are tech-illiterates. Upgrading a website is NOT rocket science. Ask any software developer, programmer or IT-savvy person. Even the big tech giants such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Google etc, would provide you with tech assistance to carry out such a project for less than one-third of the amount quoted up here. In the past few years, there has been a proliferation of tools, kits and info., for developing and upgrading websites that do not cost an arm and a leg. Even cyber-security solutions are increasingly more affordable these days! So where are these huge numbers coming from??! angry

I don't want to go into details, but saying you spent 78 million to upgrade a website, is like saying you spent 750,000 naira to charter a cab for 3 hours, to go by road from Lagos to Ibadan, in a painted city taxi. Is that taxi gold-plated? shocked shocked

The agency you mentioned is owned by the state govt, and takes directives from the governor. Do all ministries not have a commissioner or permanent secretary that is accountable to the governor?? So who is fooling whom? undecided

78 million is NOT small pocket change, that can be hidden as a line item in the balance sheet. Ask any accountant.

They stated in their description that the 78 million was for "upgrade of a website." Those were their own words. Not mine.

So why are you trying to act as if those figures and description were pulled out of thin air?? shocked

What's the meaning of your useless essay? The company said they charged N10 million so if you and the state have documented evidence that they took N78 million, counter them or keep quiet...

That's where u guys always get it twisted. What do i gain from soiling his namehuh This was simply making public a perceived discrepancy. I wonder if you'd have said this if the headlines had read fayose instead of fashola. This is abt Nigeria, not APC

When you are a leader, the buck stops at your table!!! If this was applicable to GEJ, we should apply it to BRF.. no double standards

Please point out what is 'useless' about the essay. You claim the company said it is 10 million? So why is the procurement agency stating that it is 78 million? Explain the disparity! shocked

Stop misappropriating word you know nothing about.

When government officials under GEJ are questioned and put in jail for looting, are they going to ask GEJ to answer for them and eventually put GEJ in jail for their crime?

A state agency in Lagos awarded the contract so direct your worries to them and quit making silly argument on the internet..

This Aresa, you funny sha!! 78 million Naira is misappropriated and all you are seeing are misappropriated words? Okay o! Continue!! My own is whether it's Fashola that gave the contract or the most lowly secretary, we want to get to the root of this 78million. I know you are trying hard to shut down the voices of reason and divert attention from your paymasters, keep up the good job. I also have a job to do so I will leave you here to have the last words and closing remarks.. au revoir!!

APC members and supporters are the most corrupt people on the planet, fraud runs in their veins. Even the fraudster called egift is cheating MTN everyday with Simple Server + BB plan grin
You are wrong my brother. I am ardent APC support. You can check my previous post. I believe in CHANGE. I support APC with my head and not with my heart. As for this 78 million naira website, I no dey there. I want to assume that is is false info. If however, Fashola actually used 78 million naira to upgrade his website, then, Nigerian Prison Authority should just give him Bode George's former prison Uniform, no need of sewing another one for Fashola because we need to save every kobo possible.

Getting to the bottom of the issue and you passing judgement regarding the dame issue you are yet to get to the bottom of says what about you and your sense of reasoning and judgment?

You want to get to the bottom of the matter, but you've already reached your own conclusion at the same time that 78 Million was misappropriated. You are not making any sense.
You are basically talking from both sides of your mouth.

The next step and what we need to know or see is contract terms and payment info from the state showing exactly what was paid, who they issued the checks to and who cashed the checks.
