Sanusi Defies Court Order, Mounts Throne As Emir Of Kano by Good01: 4:21pm On May 25
The 16th Fulani Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has mounted the palace seat, receiving royal greetings.

This development comes in spite of a joint security agency in Kano State declaring that they are upholding a court order that prohibits the reinstatement of the monarch.

Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II, who came out from the Emir’s inner palace to the outer palace, where traditionally Emirs receive their subjects and conduct court sittings, was cheered by hundreds of his supporters as he majestically rode a horse.

The state Deputy Governor, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, earlier told newsmen that “nobody can change their position on the reinstatement of Muhammadu Sanusi II because they did it legally.”

He said, “The so-called court order banning them from reinstating Sanusi was not officially submitted to them, and as at the time they did the reinstatement, it was after working hours, which shows that anything coming from the court on that matter is already late.”

Game of Thrones season 9.

Let's see how it will end.

Nobody has used this battle to condemn the entire Hausa tribe. Nobody has said that Hausa people shouldn't rule Nigeria since they cannot rule themselves. Everyone is focusing on the individuals involved in the battle. That is very right. But if such a battle happens in the Igbo land, the entire Igbo land will be condemned and bigots will say that the Igbo should not rule Nigeria since Igbo people cannot rule themselves. The bigots will also drag Obi and IPOB into it. But nobody has dragged Boko Haram into the battle in Kano and nobody has used it to condemn any presidential candidate from the North. Why can't the narratives be the same?

Nobody has used this battle to condemn Islam. Everyone is just focusing on the individuals involved in the battle. That is very right. But if such a battle happens among priests, pastors or bishops, Christianity would have been condemned. Many people would have used the opportunity to say that Christianity is a scam. Why does the narrative change?

You are free to attack my comment. But as long as you cannot point out any falsehood in my comment, you are just ranting.

I don't know why this guy will not leave that nonsense seat and go for a more dignifying position. If he comes out as presidential or vice presidential candidate today and teams up with another smart young man, younger generation will vote him. This Kano emir tussle is beneath him abeg.

Aside Ganduje's politics of bitterness, there was no justification for removing Sanusi in the first place! So, governor Yusuf was right in restoring him back to his throne.

Any other REASONABLE governor would have done same.

Congratulations to Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi!

Injustice should never triumph over justice!

I hope you know how big Kano State is. Aside Ganguje's personal vendetta, do you have anything against Kano having 5 emirs instead of one?

It pains you.

Did he take someone 's sit in first place?
If *no* is the answer, he is rightfully restored as Emir of Kano.

Shame to Gandollard who brought politics into Culture and Traditions.

Why should they? It is more economical having one. We're talking of 1st class chief here.
