Good morning nlers,

I've bn observing nl politics section for sometime now. There's this trend I've noticed on this section. Once I see a moniker that displays deep hatred for Igbos, it usually turns out to be that the same moniker shows deep hatred for Jonathan too. By that I mean, the person never sees anything good about Jonathan just like they don't see anything good about Igbos.

Is it safe to say that the hatred for Jonathan attract hatred for Igbos or the hatred for Igbos attract the hatred for Jonathan. Is there a possibility that these two can be mutually exclusive?

I know this is an annonymous forum but please This is a research topic for me and I need honest answers. I need as many comments as possible so I can conclude my work.
I also hope to find anyone in the missing category so I can get their opinion on this too.

Well I dont see any relationship between the two because Igbos has been getting the so called "hate" since time immemorial..
Jonah only happened to come into the crossfire my dear.
Didn't you hear that Igbos betrayed him during election?
Boko Haram insurgency also fueled a lot of "hate" on Jona too.
Babe, your research is not for school library, it is for a lecturer's upcoming book..

I think is d fault of the Igbos. The blind support most Igbos give to Jonathan even when he was wrong is the cause of the problem.
If only they(igbos) change in the thinking and utterances, things will be different.
Dats my oppinion sha

Igbos should move on. Jonathan is an Ijaw not igbo n his kits and kin has moved on with some of them moving to APC including Jonathan's close aids. My fellow igbos, we can't cry louder than d bereaved

The lecturer may be using it for his book but I need my marks.
It's a course bothered on culture/ethnicity/politics in Nigeria and somehow, someone alluded to this in class and it sparked my interest and I thought I could write on it. (Well, depending on how many opinions I'm able to sample)

there is corelation btw the two because other tribes weren't haPpy with the brazen support igbos gave Gej.

Without government support we got to where we are now, so tell me one reason why we should join them, while they are busy betraying each other?

Am proudly igbo. Lolz.. U dnt expect all d tribal divides to belong to one political party. I leave n work in Abeokuta n I know so many Yoruba men n women who belong to APGA,PDP,LP etc. Come to think of it, PDP is not an igbo party.I never voted for Jonathan nor PMB. I still believe in prof. Sonaya of Kowa.for me moving on means forgetting d past,moving with life n associating across party divides

My broad, am not saying any1 shld join any party. APC as it is has no structure. D real APC will manifest after d administration of Pres. Buhari. Stay where u are, build a structure n wait for dem. President Buhari is our president at least for d next 3+yrs. We can't do anything about day. For me both PDP n APC are like ashewo wey change address

It is rather absurd to make a blanket statement that oppositions to GEJ government must hate Igbo, even though GEJ is not Igbo himself.

The vast Igbo voters attracted a good amount of scorn ascribed to GEJ by absurdly absolving GEJ of all crimes and accusing opposition of ethnic bias. When the SW and multitudes of North voted for GEJ in 2011 there was no problem, but when even Jonathan came out to make a statement that the SE is his pillar and he could win an election with them alone he built a division

However what did you have to say of the almost equal number of votes GEJ got in SW compared to Buhari, or the 20% of all votes in the North. That is more than the 5% Buhari got in SS/SE

Op as Chinua Achebe famously said in things fall apart and I quote "that boy calls you father, do not have hand in his death"

Good luck genuinely called Igbos his brothers and treated them as such why should Igbos betray him? Why should Igbos join the rest of the country to stone him?

An unbiased historical analyst will know that Jonathan was the most neutral and best performing president in Nigerian history. Sad but true.
