Its so disheartening that while the president is looking in all directions to help the country close loopholes and save money for the country and her citizens unpatriotic lawmakers are draging their feet as regards cutting back on their senseless take home pay.
These demons of the worst order will rather let their country sink so that they will float maybe becourse they have spent so much to corce themselvkes on the citizens by way of bribes at the voting centres.
This is unacceptable!

Is there no way we the people of Nigeria can demand nd see that the Senate is abolished?

Thats definitely something for us all to ponder.
We were colonised by the british but some of our past leaders in their senseless acts borrowed the american system which to the chargrin of many they refuse to practice in full.
Its best we we have one house and I would suggest it be called the house of commons to reflect the commoner and the members, MP becourse this borrowed american system is draining us dry.

Before africa's first authentic general, aguiyi ironsi's coup it was parliamentary system just like the british but after the civil war obasanjo together with his gang of never do well foisted the american presidential system on unsuspecting citizens.
This same system that crooked politicians in nigeria have since diverted to suit their stealing habits.
We as a people should stand as one and do away with this president system,limit the number of people and the top and prescribe small salaries for them.a lawmaker should not earn more money than a teacher.

If such is done people will go to the assembly with one purpose;to serve and not seeing the state or national assembly as a place to go get rich.
