t2luv1:You must have overlooked where the report said the China ExIm bank disbursed the money to the contractors not the ministry of finance. |

Splashme:What are you talking about? As a leader he has all the rights and powers to verify everything. And it's for sure that such questioning would be regarded as allegations by people like you. |

porka:Yes, of course, th PS made the allegation. But as you can see from the Okonjo's response, $2 billion had been embezzled. It doesn't matter whether it was diverted or not, the truth is that there is no evidence that the said money was judiciously spent |
| Re: $600m Chinese Rail Loan Not Diverted – Okonjo-iweala by BushidoBlue(m): 10:29am On Aug 17, 2015 |
authority2006:I don't get it. Did you read the part where the ex minister said that the funds were loans, loans doled out to Chinese contractors, not Nigerian Finance ministry. If there is evidence to the contrary please bring it forward and don't be like one governor that keeps saying one thing only to be rubbished in the media. I'm beginning to think you guys don't read properly. |

Remii:Let me guess, PH and Enugu International remains unfinished simply because some devilish minded people hounded the minister who was spear heading their development out of office. By that act they simply killed the inspiration. It will be very rare if you were not among the people who crucified the lady that conceptualised and implemented those airport upgrades. What she could not finish, her so called betters should finish. It is also beneficial to remind the gladiators that most international loans and even aids are never given cash, rather the lender insist in paying your contractors in order to ensure that a certain percentage of your procurements are imported from his country. It is only loan for IMF and World bank that you may hope to get cash, not loan from another country. |

chigo93:You are quite unlearned. When people like you respond to threads with this kind of thrash, one can guess you haven't been involved in any project by any means. You are indeed a dullard as your ilk only think with their asses. If it was a thread on Amaechi's corruption allegation now, you won't remember the thrash you wrote up there but will be shouting yourself hoarse. Was Amaechi taking Soldier's to get money from contractors too? Bunch of ignoramuses. |

BushidoBlue:Does it not seem far fetched to you, that a Chinese company would be executing a FGN's project and the Federal Ministry of Finance of Nigeria would not have any input as to the disbursement of the funds for which Nigeria will be liable for? Na so person dey take get loans? |
| Re: $600m Chinese Rail Loan Not Diverted – Okonjo-iweala by Akainzo(m): 11:14am On Aug 17, 2015 |
BushidoBlue:So in your mind, once a Minister was replaced/sacked, then all the projects for that Ministry should stop? Are you serious!? |

luvinhubby:Pls be objective and don't misinform Nigerian on this matter. How this involved APC leader pushing Buhari, this revealation came up when Ministry of Transport briefing Mr President of its activities and Mr President made cleared objective statement: "I hope the divertion followed due process, because for a loan specified for particular project to be diverted for another project". |

handie:Did you read the article? The loan was not for rail project, it was for multiple project and Lagos-Kano rail was not even one of the project. Ibadan-Lagos rail project was presented but was not funded by the Chinese bank. The Presidency is doing a poor job here. |

Some people will still read and read and still not understand the point and still the woman a thief and say she diverted the funds, such high show of ignorance and stupidity beats me, what polytechnics or universities produces such sub standard students, gosh, can't a average Nigerian read and undrstand something as easy as what the woman came out to explain, altho i would have to blame my President here althos he was smart in saying, 'i hope due process was followed in diverting funds meant for .......' and all that, if we must probe like i think we must, let's come out with facts and figures, a lot of projects need to investigated but we need intelligents minds to do so, we need miniters on board who have no party affiliation and who won't confuse us more. She is innocent until proven guilty and something tells me she would have been very smart enough to cover all her tracks before leaving office if need be in a way that to get to her, you need need minds like Mr. Fashola or Mr Agbaje who are detailed, informed and intelligent in matters like these to thoroughly analyse and give us expert views on these matters. |
