The "eating babies" thing is a popular and long running atheist joke. I googled it one day after seeing three of them making the same joke.

Many theists have accused the atheists of being capable of doing the most evil things (such as eating a beautiful baby), and so idea of atheists eating babies was adopted by atheists as a joke reference to those accusations. If theists would have only left atheists alone then this joke wouldn't exist.

I don't necessarily find it particularly funny but it doesn't bother me.
