oge4real: Good job. Nigerians are great achievers. We just need a befitting environment.
^^^Nigerians are achievers indeed! But the nasty badbelle, crabs-in-a-barrel syndrome is what's restricting innovation, academic excellence, and due recognition for the deserving!

Does anyone imagine this man would have reached these dizzying heights of success if he had remained in Nigeria? He probably would have been asked to stand in line and wait his turn which will come only when others have filled their allotted quota; and he'd probably be frustrated every inch of the way by some pen-pushing, bureaucratic, Igbo-hating, quota-benefitting director in the relevant ministry concerned!

You ever wonder why Nigeria didn't take advantage of, and build on the innovations of the Biafran engineers and scientists immediately after the civil war? In sane countries that recognise and reward academic excellence, innovation and brain-power, you find people becoming billionaires solely on the strength and marketability of their ideas; but in Nigeria, you have to be from the 'right ethnic group', have stolen while in gov't, be in or close to the corridors of power, or be dashed an oyel block before you can think of joining the exclusive elite club of dollar billionaires!

He is a critical asset to the department of defence, silicon valley, and entire american intellectual infrastructure. Leaving the US is not an option for him neither will the US condone it anyway, due to the obvious intellectual level he plays at.
If countries like russia or china gets hold of him, he is probably good enough to advance their semi-conductor cum military technologies ten years into the future, the future that america currently plays at.
God bless america.
