Nigeria my Country...they'll keep on coming out and at the end, we'll conquer the monsters and break all the jinxes that enslave us.

-One day, just one day our visa will be among the hotcakes.
-our children will be proud for just being born Nigerians.

That was why I didn't join in the fight over who takes credit for fixing refineries. I'm of the opinion that those relics, called refineries, are better sold off. Govt should not spend any penny in either maintaining or repairing them. In addition, govt should support the private sector to build local refineries. Govt has no business in business. That is the only way forward and GEJ was already doing that. The privatization process had already commenced, though opposed by labour unions, while Dangote was supported to start building a refinery
Thankyou my brother. This APC government is a government of lies and propaganda. Tufiakwa!!!

The last time I check, Military rule was responsible for the sorry state of our refineries. Fuel importation never started with PDP government.

If this report is true, the government should see this for what it truly is; positive criticism, problem identifications and an opportunity to proffer solutions. This is the time to stop playing to the gallery of politics, solve problems and let history be the judge.

A lot of work need to be done to revamp and restart the Crude Distillation Unit, FCC Unit and other Unit operations required for efficient operations of the plant.

Also, the all the pipelines established to transport crude oil to this refinery should be fixed immediately and the security system strenghtned to checkmate further vandalism. There is no reason why this refinery should be closer to crude oil terminal/depot, and still be accessing its crude via tanker. Thats unacceptable.

On which report? Was it not the work that GEJ used as his campaign tools that the refineries are been over hauled to work? Gej did this think he will win and then continue with the status quo........so where are the funds that has been budgeted for the meantance of the refinery? APC spoke on the ground thinking PDP has worked there not knowing they only painted an old and rusty pipes instead of changing it...........These are the reason that Buhari must probe the last Government........ There are too many things that doesnt just add up....

According to economics, every business starts at loss. over time, abnormalities are checked and corrected and loss is gradually turned into profit. Even dangote, Julius berger, owners of gtbank and many others know very well about these but today these companies are great. Saharareport is just try to take advantage of the ignorant Nigerian youths who believe in cash at hand, back for ground to create critics for Buhari. At least for the first time, millions of Nigerias hear about working refineries operating in their father land. Kudos to baba.

Please go and check again......you can specifically check for how much has been allocated for turn around meantance for the refinery in the last 6 yrs under GEJ watch and also find out how much it cost to build a new refinery............ You will be amazed that what has gone into that place would have gotten us another refinery if properly managed..........you may not agree with me on this but I will state strongly that the last Government was a depot for waste of resources and habitat for greedy and wicked looters without human sympathy...... I know one way or the other you feel the damage of the last government and in your quiet time your mind tells you your hero GEJ failed you.

It high time we stop blaming buhari or GEJ and start calling the names of the contractor involved in these scams.....,.....we know the people responsible they are amongst us and we honour them daily with titles in our communities and we are here point fingers at these two men that are pilots while the real thief's and sabotuors are dancing around freely in our areas

Thanks you very much for that question...... Instead millions of dollars are given out as contract to guard the pipelines and main while nothings is been done.......if those money are channelled to salaries of more civil defence guards and well paid and equipped you will see them in action...........salary multivation will work the magic .........you will see security men that will be ready to kill militant that come near that pipe when they are well paid............no body go sido make you come collect food from em mouth o

Yes, you are correct, they are the same media that messed GEJ up, the same media that made PMB gain more grounds against GEJ.

I am not in any form of partisan politics. My only advice is that we all should always be wary of what we wish for @ all times. When sahara reporters were making waves with propaganda during GEJ( I don't even like GEJ, he is corruption personified) we were hailing them as a credible media house.

Now, we have seen it that they don't know when to draw a line btwn national interest press and partisan propaganda press. Well, it serves us right.

More compelling evidence of how GEJ ran this country very poorly.

Imagine giving tompolo a contract to supply crude via vessel when he's also the man supposed to protect the pipelines. What incentive does he then have to protect the pipelines ?

All the billions paid in amnesty and yet oil bunkering and pipeline sabotage at an all time high.

But wait oo,i think this industry was opened a few days ago thereby reducing the cost of petrol in warri,i seriously dnt get it...so many fake news...
The cheap fuel you people got was as a result of a vessel that offloaded refined imported fuel that was delivered to the refinery. That most be a scam by the management of the refineries. This fact should make all those who always claim Jonathan is the spear head of the success Buhari have achieved in 5 months have a rethink but I trust many of them won't as they are tribalist and they are persuaded by sentiments.
