Jide Smith is the CEO of luxury firm, Aruba and he's based in the UK. In an emotional post shared on his Facebook page on Thursday, Jide shocked loved ones and fans when he revealed he was HIV positive and has no regrets after testing positive.

When a fan afraid of Nigerians harassing Jide asked him to keep his struggle with the disease from social media, Jide pointed out that he was still rich despite his status. He also seized the opportunity to preach safe sex as popular Nigerian gay men Kenny Brandmuse and Jide Macaulay hailed his bravery. Their comments continue after the cut.

I feel sorry for the guy and I respect his courage, but I noticed something in his posts. He's friends with Pela tonye okiemute and Jide Rebirth who are obviously gay, whether Pela would admit or not. I'm suspecting he's gay.

Now in case you all believe in the scientific crap that HIV AIDS started in Africa, I would have you know that HIV started as a gay disease and was then brought to Africa. . . Most gays have that disease but the West will never admit to it. . .

Guys need to be extremely careful. These hoes ain't loyal. And when a guy starts looking like things are starting to be good, that's when they swarm all over. And that is when a guy needs to either condomize or stick to one partner. I admire his boldness though. Alot of people out there who are too scared to get tested or too scared to reveal their status to loved ones and family.
