But l dont want you to mix-up two different things.

1.) behaviour of the average Northerner wrt Religious fanaticism, Religious riots and Political violence.
*The Northern elders and Northerners in general need to preach more tolerance and respect for human life.
*They need to tell their 'bowl-brandishing' almajaris not to carry knife and slaughter people like goats, at the slightest disagreement.
*Hausas and Muslim religion is really a tinder box
*Muslim leaders need to start preaching Tolerance, forgiveness and understanding in their Mosques and from the Quaran and not all those vengeful, hateful, murderous and inciting ninsense l hear them preach over their Public address systems


2.) when a nation is under threat, the Leader must live up to expectation.
*Jonathan, as in most things, displays gross ineptitude.
*Buhari has tried t be President a few times and each time, l never voted for him until l am forced to make a choice between him and Jonathan .... and that was a very easy choice! *Even foreign nations realized that he and his team were not serious about fighting BH and so began to isolate him by not selling weapons to him.
No point arming the Nigerian Govt if the weapons will end up being sold to BH members, by his Top military commanders
*How about a C-in-C who only visits his men at war (and victims killed and displaced) just two weeks to election? What impression does that create in the minds of those people? Just imagine you are one of them?
*fighting BH is not going to be easy because this is not One Army facing another! This is a "hit-and-run" Guerilla warfare that our soldiers are just getting to grips with. But these soldiers are not motivated by the body language of President Jonathan and his commanders hence there was mutiny all over the place

So Jonathan deserves all the blame he is getting.
At the same time, the problem goes deeper than that. [b]Northerners and Northern Muslims in general, need a re-orientation towards Love, Peace, Forgiveness and Co-habitation.
The best you can do is to join hands with this Buhari Govt, to achieve results in the fight against the BH terrorists, not atatxcking him over nothing as most Easterners are doing.
