I understand there's a ban on the sales of elephant tusk but I also learnt that there are sme legal sellers.. I want to buy for a friend of mine who's in Europe and I'm gonna some cool bucks too. But how can I do this legally without causing any gobe anywhere?

You will be required to prove that the tusk is from an elephant that wasn't endangered. Which is nearly impossible to do. No freight or ship line will agree to ship it anyway even if u can prove that
