pickabeau1:Objectively speaking, if Man City sign Kelvin DeBruyne, they will win the league. Chelsea is talking of Pogba after signing Pedro. Wenger do come up with surprises on the last day to make us have the last laugh, but will he surprise us again this summer? Dunno. |

| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 1:48pm On Aug 22, 2015 |
sod09:Wenger has too much confidence on his players and they do let him down. I thought he should buy this summer to challenge for the title since we are no longer paying off debt. It's not late anyway, we are watching. Liverpool next. |

Wenger always wait for a player who is not happy or want to leave his present club so he can sign them. Ozil, sanches, and so on. just hope things change for better if not na same story again. |

sod09:We are on the same page bro, Wenger expects those average players to play like super stars which they obviously can't. For example, he says he does not need a new striker that Giroud can do the job. Also remember that Man City have sugar daddy, so they spend without using calculator. They spend like they don't care- Sterling= £49.5m Delph= £8m Otamendi= £35m De Bruyne= £50.5m Total (so far)= £143m Intimidation. |

Afternoon folks. . .just dropping by. I don't think Arsenal is going to sign any players before the end of this window - that's my gut feel. Y'all can forget about Benzema - Ballague has said it's not happening. ![]() All the other alleged targets are speculation, even though patakisports says otherwise. ![]() Wingers - we aren't getting any wingers with Theo and Ox warming the bench as we speak, not to mention Alexis or even Joel Campbell who may remain. Worth remembering both Ox and Theo barely played last season. . . .Wenger won't bring anyone in ahead of them not after giving Theo a new deal. Defenders - no defenders when we have 4 fit CBs, 2 fit LBs and 2 fit RBs, so that's more or less settled. GK - you know the story. Midfielders (defensive) - unlikely to see any additions; Arteta is fit, so is Coq, not to mention the Flamster is still on the books. Midfielders (attacking) - virtually no chance here - Rambo is fit, Ox can potentially play there, Wilshere's injury isn't lengthy, Ozil looks on form. Rozzi though injured still has his one year deal to run out. Attack - this is where a signing may still be possible, but it won't be Benzema . Giroud remains #1, Welbeck is the main back up (hopefully comes back soon after the international break), with Walcott having some delusions of being a striker. Lacazette anyone? Or would 2 Girouds be too much for y'all to handle? ![]() That's my thinking at the moment, but as always you never know till the window actually closes. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by debosky(m): 1:11pm On Aug 24, 2015 |
For tonight, I think we need to start with lots of pace - set Walcott and Alexis against the young fullbacks of Liverpool and play Ozil right behind Giroud. For this game Rambo should be on the bench with Coq and Santi in midfield - the defence picks itself Nacho, Kos, Per and Hector, with Cech in goal. If the second half gets dicey throw on Rambo and Ox to bring additional energy and pace at them. I think we'll win this comfortably, but again nothing in football is quite predictable. |

Gunners, I know you chaps are still smarting from that loss to the hammers but please don't take it out on my Reds. Na beg i dey beg o. 1 or 2 nil is just ok. All that matters is 3 points. Lets not go for 3 or 4 nil. Deal? |

Mourinholic:It does but it has really been watered down since the last UEFA congress due to threats of legal action by 'sugar clubs'. Only Chelsea have tried to play by the new rules, but the likes of Man City and PSG are still going against it. |

^^ Opinions are what make football go round. However, if I want goals? Walcott any day. . .Ox has the potential to have a more complete all round game, but it's too early to tell. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 3:04pm On Aug 24, 2015 |
debosky:Ox preferable to Walcott at RW, but I don't see AW keeping his beloved Ramsey on the bench; though not a pure winger, he thinks Ramsey covers well for Coquelin better than Ox especially when we are under pressure. For a big game like vs Liverpool, Ramsey gets the nod. |
