I think Giroud has justified why he should not be starting as our striker. And whether we like the truth or not, we need to re-inforce our striking department. Petr Cech at 33! Walai, that guy is phenomenal! Respect! Ramsey is a beast! That flick he did! Bummer, his excellent goal was disallowed. Alexis is still a bit rusty, I don't know why. But he did not seem to be fully in the game. Hope Koscielny recovers on time from his back injury. Calum Chambers gave away very cheap cheap balls in the first half. We dominated the second half but our finishing had the touch of the handbrakes on it. I felt it became sharper with the introduction of the Ox. Clean sheet, Petr Cech getting his confidence back and we are moving on! COYG! |

airmark:Bendtner ke? Let him stay for that useless BurnThisLeagueDown and continuing shagging Alago and his useless defence. I am happy with Giroud's performance today. It gives more prompting for Wenger to go out there and get a striker for us. StarBoard:See who dey talk. Abeg teams with strikers are discussing here. Scummies with their pregnant striker are talking of scores. Orisirisi. Una don buy Neymercury? ![]() |

Pataki:Why you dey deflect attention from the issue? When last did you score a home goal barring the Emirates cup? Simple question, yet you are drawing comfort from United. |
| Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by Spy360(m): 10:19pm On Aug 24, 2015 |
Match Analysis The first half was jittery due to low confidence in the CB pairing especially for Chambers which give Liverpool a lot of hope going forward. The second half was better as the attacking display covered up for the poor defensive showing. Lack of clinical finishing, and little spaces denied the team a chance to score. Giroud should have tried to create spaces for the midfielders instead of wanting to score himself; that's what you do when a team is defending deep. Summary: 0-0. Recommendation: We need a big double footed striker. We need him fast. |

StarBoard:This is the problem with you scummies and shekpe fans. You dwell too much with history. Arsenal is a work in progress. We realize that we need more efficiency with our home games. We almost had it today had it not been for the assistant referee who was a blind bat! Give it to these lads today! They played some good attacking football in the second half, which from my own view, only ManCity has been able to replicate so far this season. We just need that outstanding clinical finisher. Hopefully tonight's game has brought that reality to the naked eyes of Wenger and his coaching staff. |

Pataki:We are not denying that there was attacking intent. I think You should be worried about that stat. And I'm not trolling. As it stands your side is no better than United at this point. |

StarBoard:Haba! This is a fallacy from you. You want to compare a Januzaj with Ox or Ramsey? The current Fatso with Giroud? Or Mata with Sanchez? Should we talk about the half-fit Bastian who was limping across the whole field on Saturday? Let Arsenal sort out our striking problems, and we shall see which team can stop us efficiently in the league. If ManU could not defeat Newcastle at Old Trafford, I think you should be more worried about what else is to come the way of your team this season. The season has just started and it is very good that all these teething problems we are having can be quickly rectified for us. As for your team, your Mr. Philosophy of a coach, believes there is no problem at all. ![]() |

Pataki:Bro, No need for this epistle. Maybe for United we are at mid season that is why you don't realize that you haven't scored more goals or earned more points than or conceded less than United so far this season. I'm looking at basic metrics, not individual players. As per beating Newcastle, relax. we shall see by seasons end if your analysis over one game as per three this season so far is on point. And how is Wenger different from Plato in terms of addressing the glaring deficiencies in their respective sides? I still insist that so far this season, Arsenal are no better than United. Funny that you seem to imply that I said United were better off. |

sod09:To be honest with you, Coquelin over worked himself. When you have a 'fine girl' at CB, you will always be watching your back. Once Coutinho was through on goal but for a timely clearance by Coquelin, some even thought it was a foul, but replays show an excellent intervention. For the records, the fine girl is Chambers. He really messed up in the first half, but good enough he was able to regain composure in the second. Chamberlain is a good star- but he is still amateur, he needs another season to learn to think before playing. I rate him though. Ramsey showed why he will always get a chance ahead of the orthodox wingers. Mr Utility, showing presence all over the pitch, attackin and defending. Giroud? Next please. |

Those saying season has just started should remember that this was the same excuse we used last season only to turn around at the end of the season to blame our failure to win the league on poor start. Sometimes I wonder if AW actually sits down to do a critical assessment of his team. I'm sure he probably does but I find it hard to understand how anyone will assess this team and feel confident going into a 38 match season with Giroud upfront and Theo/Welbz as back up. |

proudly9ja:Wenger is either economical with the truth about the situation on ground or he is economical with our finances or he is economical with his mental faculties. Whatever he wants to do let him do, but if he does not win the league this season we will come for his head. With all the players moving in to other rivals, we cannot compete with this our current crop. If he thinks we can, then he is just being arrogant or naive as according to G Neville. Chelsea- Bergovic, Falcao, Pedro City- Otamendi, Sterling, Delph United- Romero, Darmian, Schweini, Schneidi, Depay Arsenal- Cech |
