That is not true. We share information, overtime I learnt that those in Porthacourt are hoarding information and very few are willing to give relevant information except government teachers. I had to leave that town, why? It was expensive and opportunities are limited, hence my porting to Lagos.
There are schools that give accommodation in lagod but would not pay more than 30k which is fair in my opinion.....the opportunities are here(Lagos) with crazy living conditions.

Package a well written CV containing subjects you can teach, write a show stopping cover letter, staple together and fold nicely into a clean envelope.
Walk confidently into any school of your choice and drop it. You can't go wrong with that, especially at this period of huge transfers.
Do as many schools as possible, then go home and watch the calls and texts roll in.

Stop waiting for people in your location to post vacancies, go out and look for vacancies. My present job wasn't posted here or anywhere online. I had to dress up, leave my house and visit the school with my credentials, unaware that there was a vacancy there. 70% of top companies don't advertise their vacancies including top schools.
