God alone will know how to design the special hell fire that will be the final abode of OBJ. I will not stop saying it, OBJ is the founder of every corruption in our society. He has all what its takes to transform our society to be among far back in 1999 but he went astray. God alone will judge him and his entire generation. OBJ is the founder of every challenges we are presently facing. OAMMB: |

This system is virtually not different from the previous administration in some areas, all we hear is the FG will do this, do that! When will the "do" become "done". I dey cook food is not same as food done done. |

madridguy:i agree with you....OBJ had the opportunity to put us on the right path from 1999..... he could have nipped it in the bud all along.... its like we are now trying to bend a stock fish that is already dry...especially with these senators and rep members. left to me i would say they should just scrap them because they are just useless to us...especailly the ones in the state house of assemblies... i really dont understand what they are doing there....because we already have reps in the national house representing their consistuency. its a waste of the nation's resources. |

please what is the KPI (key performance index) of our NASS members compared to their remuneration? sitting allowances should be scraped and replaced with allowances for bills passed into law. how can we pay people for just "sitting", when the "sitting" does not translate to laws made? after all, everywhere in Naija people are "sitting" but don't get paid. ![]() |

vickylala239:“Presently, we are reviewing the subsisting remuneration packages and it is going to reflect the socio-economic realities of today. We expect that before the end of next month, it will be ready. “When I talk of packages, the responsibility of the commission is to determine the remuneration for political office holders, both elected and appointed, from the national level to the local government level. |

Yes it is timely , how can a senator who drive new cars be receiving N4million as car maintenance allowance per month? money that can buy two tokunbo jeeps. And when they come to mechanic they will be doing alaroro. Also am oppose to their housing allowance, must they live in abuja ? they can live in Lagos still be performing their legislative functions or any neigjbouring state. They say there also a constituency allowance which we thou constituencies don't see, the highest they have done is sink a borehole of N45,000 yes (forty five thousand naira) say na water we go drink die? |

Dottore:Walahi, as if politics is an occupation like bricklaying or carpentary. While schools were busy giving certificate to those who attends them, those street layabouts were busy doing KJK (Kafarka jarinka) moving from one house to another, to get something. and if you fail to give them some money, they will turn wild, insult you and your ancestors. mad people. |
| Re: FG To Slash Federal Lawmakers’ Salaries by darazonian(m): 10:23am On Aug 26, 2015 |
This is indeed a welcome development. I wish we will see the light of the day, in which it will be fully implemented. for Nigeria to advance socio-ecomomically and politically, we must make politics less attractive, so that only those who has the passion to serve and die for the country will emerge to steer the wheel of the nation forward. Time has come for us to start producing leaders, not politicians who have no iota of truth in them. |

Whats our own, if they like they kill themselves, but that unreasonable allowances should stop. Rather than 25m monthly, 3m per month is still ok. That will save us a lot and the remainder will be channeled to other useful projects. But until then, we are still joking OAMMB: |
| Re: FG To Slash Federal Lawmakers’ Salaries by OAMMB(f): 10:41am On Aug 26, 2015 |
ilobasama:3m is even too much...for what na? what are they doing apart for Ye and Ne wey dem dey shout? when engineers and doctors wey go school read like no man's biz and finish with 1st class never collect 3m na some old baba olodos go collect 3m per month...abeg bros..ko jo! 500k is ok for them |

Lols, I don add all the allowance and everything. Even if the greedy souls can manage that one we no go complain. Seriously its outrageous. This is corruption in itself. Unheard of. Just multiply 25m by number of senators and reps, you ll cry for nigeria OAMMB: |
