Only root your phone if you're going to use apps that needs root permissions. Don't root just for rooting sake.

For your second question, if you're a heavy user, you'll know the benefits of rooting. If you aren't, i suggest u don't root

ok how many hours does the battery get charged?
I don't know about the original charger, but my playbook charger charges it before two hrs.
First time I charged it and it filled so fast, I thought it wasn't fully charged...but I used it for several hours before charging again.

most people here confuses this phone for hot note(pro) because infinix recently launched their XUI...yes,the XUI is a really beautiful UI but the hot note(pro) isnt an android one device and as such i "think" part of the deal on android one was "INFINIX PROVIDES THE HARDWARE(phone), GOOGLE PROVIDES THE SOFTWARE(os)" so if you're expecting infinix to theme the os and make it beautiful then they'll be over-stepping the lines of the android one contract; TO BACKUP MY STATEMENT CHECK THE SPICE,KARBONN,CHERRY MOBILE their os are all same with infinix hot 2!! NOTE: ANY OS BY GOOGLE IS AOSP BASED...if you know about roms right from jellybean you'll know "AOSP MEANS LITERARILLY MEANS NO THEME/UI DESIGN"

I'm talking about the Amp rating not the Volt rating.

BB playbook charger always makes sense... No need asking.
As for the sound output, I haven't checked cos I'm yet to replace my lost ear plugs.
But the speaker sounds normal. Not the chinko noise in some phones.

I understand what you mean, but it won't harm the phone or battery.
Read this;
re is a copy of my post regarding this subject from a year ago :
"Okay , here is a very good answer because I wondered the same thing many years ago and did a ton of research . Bear in mind I have a Z 10 but this lesson is for all devices.
Lithium ion or lithium polymer chemistry batteries last the longest when they are charged at 1 C or less . "C " is the total capacity of the battery . For the Z 10 battery , that number is 1800 mah or 1 .8 amps . So , technically , the max amperage that should be pushed into the Z 10 battery is 1 . 8 amps . However , there ' s a catch .. .
The battery and the phone have internal circuitry designed to regulate charging to extend the life of the battery and the runtime . Of course since lithium batteries can catch fire or explode really easily if improperly charged, this circuitry is also a safeguard which will not allow it to take in too much current.
Current = amps ... btw.
The phone and battery will only pull as much current as its circuitry will allow . So, you could hook up a 100 amp charger to the phone and it would still only take in as much as it can . Generally speaking , most manufacturers limit the maximum draw to 0 .8 C . You' ll also notice that through the charge , the draw will vary . At the beginning, the battery will pull the most current , then when the charge is near completion , it will pull a lot less . This is the final " saturation " phase of charging . So, in short, the phone and battery will not let you overcharge it no matter how many amps you provide it .
I' ve used Battery Guru to determine the amperage pull using various chargers . The calculation to use is volts x amps = watts . Battery Guru provides the wattage while charging . The maximum charge voltage for the Z 10 battery is 4 .35 V . So to determine how much amperage the battery is taking in while charging , simply divide watt / volts .
When charging with the Playbook charger , I draw about 5 watts . So , that is equivalent to 1 .15 amps . Since 1 C would be 1 . 8 amps , this is still well below the maximum recommended charge rate. In fact , it ' s only 0 .64 C (64 % of the maximum recommended for a lithium battery ). I ' ve also hooked the PlayBook international charger ( 2 amps ) to the Z 10 and it didn ' t charge at a higher rate ( about 5 watts ). The 750 mah ( old BB charger) will charge at 0 . 4 C while pushing the charger at 92 % of its rated maximum . We could argue if this is an issue for the charger but I haven' t had one break yet .
With all that said , it ' s probably marginally (I mean by a tiny margin ) better for the battery to charge at the lowest practical rate . I' ve heard that you should never charge below 0 . 2 C as this can lead to very inefficient charging and may not saturate the battery properly . At night (when I' m in no hurry ), I use the old BB 750 mah charger and it works fine. If I need to charge quickly , I ' ll use the PlayBook charger or the BlackBerry premium car charger (1 . 8 amps ). They all work great and none of them will hurt your battery .
So, I hope this puts the charger argument to rest.

Oooh this is what I don't like. What can you compare it with? The original hot, hot note, Zero 1, Zero 2 etc? Thinner or thicker than any of them or same with any of them?

Open your file manager (I guess you've downloaded one), select and play the mp3 of your choice. As it is playing, you select a drop-drown menu where you'll see "Set ringtone" and vaam you are done. This is for ES Explorer shaa, but I guess the variation will not be much for other file managers.

Camon is already an epic fail. How can anybody make a phone with 1GB RAM this late 2015? Haba.

Honestly, your judgement is a poor one. You're working with numbers. Machines work with stuff, not numbers. So shift! I don't see how the Camon is an 'epic' fail.
Re: Infinix HOT 2 (x510) Official Thread by Chikote(m): 4:49pm On Aug 27, 2015
Elxandre:

The Camon is 1GB ram... and that alone makes it inferior to this phone.
And again, the camon has the same specs save for the camera, but the Hot's 2GB ram and the potential for regular updates kills off the Camon.

Anyone who knows what low ram can do will understand what device to choose.

End of story.

1GB RAM makes the phone inferior? Funny go tell that to Sony and Samsung devices with 1GB RAM. Their prices gan no gree come down. 1GB RAM for the Camon is an okay though. Doesn't make it inferior, can and should be increased, but doesn't make it inferior. Tests have shown that it's performance is still magnificent.
