Nigeria will play defending Champions, Angola today at 9pm as they chase their first Afrobasket championship title. This game will also decide which team gets Africa's sole automatic ticket to the 2016 Olympics, the losing team will join Senegal and Tunisia at the FIBA play-offs. This will be Angola's 7th consecutive final and Nigeria's first since 2003. Angola has won Nigeria at their previous 2 meetings at this stage in 1999 and 2003 respectively. Hopefully tonight will turn out differently for Team Nigeria and we'll win the tournament as well as an automatic ticket to the 2016 Olympics

nah, continents like Africa and Asia get one automatic team slot and then others have to go through play-offs, so the slot is 1.5 (based on a team's ability to win an intercontinental play-off). A continent like Europe gets more than one slot

It seems Dieng and co are no longer interested. I know they're thinking, 'it doesn't matter if we lose this. It was d trophy we came for but here we are...'

Maybe they got no more 'fight' left in them... I'll really love to see the senegalese come third though.
