When will this givin of loans stop. All the loans that have been given to them in the past what have they used it for? All the money signed by their finance commissioners from the Excess Crude Account what have they used it for? This country will soon collapse under the weight of the loans that are being given out and are not being repaid.

Taking money from the state coffers to use to fund elections should be made a criminal offence punishable by life imprisonment, public stoning or firing squad.

If they want reelection they should raise funds privately and not use Govt money.

No more excuses, Govs should now settle outstanding salary arrears owed to workers since the time of cluelessness.

the governors mismanaged their resources, ain't the President fault or responsibility to pay state workers.
Sure. But when the problem has reached a level, it's only sensible to find a solution such as this.

Anyway, what could a GEJ's FG have done given that it also had to borrow to pay salaries in March and April.

If GEJ listened to me these bigot won't be in aso rock.

They say he hasn't achieved anything, yet he has excelled where GEJ failed.

These states have been in comatose since GEJ's time and he couldn't find a way to solve the problems despite having Harvard schooled ministers in his team.

PMB has again succeeded in alleviating the economic woes of the states workers especially by granting long term loan at a single digit interest rate.

We can only imagine what additional economic benefits this injection of massive cash will do to the economy.
what are u saying?..... can't u comment without adding GEJ? this is the second time am quoting u on NL..... but I just conclude u don't read articles, just comment..... its confirmed your stupidity is factory fitted

Did the affected states get into this financial mess in this administration or the previous onehuh Why didn't the past govt come up with the idea of a bailout package?

I just analyzed what each state there gets and came to the conclusion this is a reflection of how the governors managed resources and by extension their performance. Look at Kogi 50 billion, osun 30, Imo 26, enugu 4, Bayelsa 1 billion. The only reason bayelsans don't want Dickson is because he is not sharing money. Just look at Kogi and the dolt still seeks re election. Did u see lagos, Rivers, Jigawa, anambra on that list? These are the people who managed their resources well even if they borrowed.

You don't compare both government, GEJ did more to alleviate the economic situation of state, but the stingy governors we had only used the money to enrich themselves to the detriment of their workers.

Same thing will happen now, those greedy and self centered governor will still syphone the money. Na 9ja we dey.

The truth must be told ,these states squandered their monthly allocations on elections. How can Osun be getting over 34 billion loan with all her initial debts. Aregbe has run the state aground ..

Anything that is now working in nigeria is done by buhari, the ones that r not working is left-over from Gej.. I tire for nigerian youths. Anyway back to topic, This loan will never b repayed, u borrow more money to off debts. How r these states going to pay back, what r their plans to repay d loan? Nigerians don suffer in the hands of these rulers, we all know that atleast 30percent of this 338billion will still end up in these governors pockets. Then they will still owe workers salaries before handing over to another person and borrowing cycle continues.

You just nail it. How i wish the federal government will have a loan monitoring team. Anyway let us all give them the benefit of the doubt
But the money is meant for backlog salaries owed their workers. Not for projects.

And repayment is deducted from their monthly allocation by the banks.

Here this worthless igbo thing goes again....

You are as dumb as your progenitor called ugly Ojukwu.

Please, come to South West and North to see your obviously Igbotic-looking children in our schools on free education schemes. Who paid for their fees? Yorubas and Northeners' federal allocations while your region spend their allocation on Igbos only. Who is parasites here? Igbos of course.

Who paid for all these Igbos' teenagers sitting for O' level exams in South West and North? The westerners and Northerners commonwealth make this payment year in year out while Igbo states only pay for their fellow Igbos teenagers? Who is parasites here? Igbos of course.

You mischievously brought it to our attention that Anambra state wasn't on the list out 5 SE states but failed to tell us that Lagos state out of 6 states in SW is equally not on the list.

Who and who is parasite in this country? The answer to this question is obvious to foreigners in Nigeria. Igbos are the parasites and burden on other Nigerians.

It may interest you to know that you-Igbos are the parasites and unavoidable burden(For now and being fellow Nigerians) on other region of these countries. There are 1% total population of these following tribes in your pure, unrefined, uncosmopolitan and Igbotic region: Hausas, Fulanis, Yorubas, Itsekirris, Edos, Ijaws, Kanuris while 70% of your parasitic fellow Igbos are currently spread all over other regions as immigrants.

Western world has always made all attempt to deport as much immigrants as possible so as to avoid this type of parasitic situation that Igbos have brought on other regions of Nigeria by polluting these regions with their children and fellow village people.

What is the reason behind the deportation of immigrants(Igbos) from developed countries across the world is a question that needs to be addressed. The deportation of these immigrants is necessary so as to reduce the burden on their social infrastructure and other social amenities. If these developed countries could care so much about the adverse effect of immigrants on their economy, the adverse effects of Igbos' presence in all these regions could better be imagine...

As far as Oil is concerned in this country, only two states from South east produce the the smallest percentage of oil among all the oil producing states. Igbos tried to force Anambra state on Nigerians through the most tribalistic administration of all time just like Aguiyi Ironsi regime but thank God for our Okun brothers and sisters with their fellow Kogi state indegenes who fought these parasites to standstill.
