post like this only causes people to be insecure, and it is strictly based on assumption! base on my experience using gtbank as an example, with card serial no, expiry date, and other informations there is no way any amount can be take from ur account without the digit number generated by ur token.

I once placed an order on alibaba.com for some wrist watches, after paying, for the watches and shipping, they were even unable to withdraw the money because the goods was not sent to me. after reporting the case to gtbank my money was released to me.

Crap!!! I have purchased products, made payments and sent to an address in another country. Goods were delivered. It is only paypal that you must send to your registered address.

I'm not talking about delivery address but I'm talking about billing address. You can't make a successful foreign website payment without using the correct billing address linked to the card.

The only way I know how real hackers can make online payment with a Nigerian bank issued card is by using the person's personal details along with the card details. For local online payments like on Quicktelker Jumia or Konga, they just need a token.

I wonder if you guys really know how online payments really work or have had any real personal experience at shopping online.

Are u a learner?? u can use your card on amazon and alot of websites without ur pin...all they need is ur card name,the 3digit code at the back,the expiry date and card number....with this dem go commit all ur money do shopping...

You can't shop on Amazon with a card without providing the correct billing address linked to the card. This is not normally printed on the card.

bros u argue too much ooo.I swear to GOD u can use the card even with another billing address...it is something have done on amazon very well..I do publish my books on amazon and I buy some kindle ebooks too,and u can't buy kindle ebooks from Nigeria so what we simply do is use a USA address or UK address..u can try it by urself.or just give me ur card make I help u do am..

Amazon may initially accept the order but by the time they try to confirm the details at your bank and the bank notices the wrong details, they would cancel the transaction. I've had that experience at times. Amazon doesn't charge cards immediately until the bank approves the transaction. Unless you know the card owner personally, you can't use his card.

If you understand how Amazon works, you'll know they don't charge cards immediately even though they've i initially accepted the order. It would take about 10 mins before they confirm the payment.

I don buy laptop for there and it was the usa address I used in registration on amazon was what I used as the billing address and it was shipped to USA because the seller does not ship to Nigeria which is very common...the card details I used is my Nigerian card...just make sure that if you are buying physical item make sure u let your shipping address to be the same with the billing address...but if na eBook u can use another billing address...

I remember when I lost my wallet containing my Access Debit Visa Card back in 2013 on a Friday night, with a foreknowledge of the 3 reasons OP posted and knowing that banks won't open till the following monday, I quickly sent a mail to Access Bank customer care center, got a call from them 30 mins later (KYC purpose) and the card was blocked immediately to avoid stories that will touch me.
