I always have a mixed reaction whenever I ponder on this suspension saga. On the one hand, I deeply feel terebly sorry for those innocent candidates who having passed through the rigours of selection, got the job on merit. I know a person or two who got this job purely on merit. As already known, most of them must have incurred so much expenses/liabilities as result of their participation in the process.

On the other hand, I feel uncontrolably excited bearing in mind that some elements, who felt that they had the wherewithal to influence the process in their favour, kept on trolling on NIS related threads during the recruitment process, ignorantly bragging on how highly connected they were. Well, where are the damn connections now

If there is anyway the FG can carefully investigate, in order to filter out those who got the job on merit, I implore them to do so. But if there isn't anyway this can be done, they should then endevour to indemnify all the suspended victims.

Instead of canceling the recruitment, they should get the results from dragnet that was mandated to conduct the aptitude test and then conduct their own interview....suspending the recruitment is not fair to the applicants.

I suggest the FG should have something like a reserve so that whenever any sort of recruitment is to be conducted into the military or para-military forces, they should then be drafted there.

This is the same old news we recieved on 20/08/2015 via a circular from NIS HQ. It is just made public to you guys by Vanguard newspaper. There is nothing new about it. It is just SUSPENDED but not CANCELLED!!!!!

If only you calmly read my post, you would have understood that i was refering to the first process when applicants had to pay N1,000 for the application which later turned out to be a disaster with several lives lost and many injured.

A six foot tall, 29 year old graduate with two MSc degrees in Criminology & Security studies and MPA (should I add with a clean medical record) applied during the second recruitment conducted by the presidential committee and wasn't even shortlisted for aptitude test. So I ask again bro, what did the successful applicants do to make the list?

my prayer goes to all officers that has to resign from their jobs (especially high paying ones) in order to pursue this govt job.

But that does not negate the fact that some people on high paying job got the job on merit.


How will you feel that in your quest for better opportunity ( greener pasture),you left a high paying job only to be put in limbo?


No matter how fishy the recruitment is, there is still an element of merit in it.....at least to the best of my knowledge on this forum, an ex- corp member( batch b) got the job
(his signature always is.....Result will always cancel insult....)

Its funny how most of us believe no merits were taken. I know of people that got the job without knowing or meeting anybody in the immigration. So in every system, merits are also considered to avoid the system from crashing. If 100 people applied for a job that needs just 10, the remaining 90 will always complain that the recruitment was not fair. No job can take everyone that applied so let's stop the beef...

Hmmm, I know we wl make it right one day in this country. I didn't know why I refused to obtain that form. I knew that the recruitment will get k-leg like that of NSITF. The pains of that recruitment can never go away cos of what everyone of us experienced then. At the end no merit was considered. GEJ is a big scam.

That should't have surprised you; I actively participated in the process. Kindly search through the Job/vacancies section, you will find so many NIS related threads.

Beside, the fact that your ex-corps member got the job is not enough evidence to substantiate that the exercise was based on merit: or can't he bail himself out through lobbying which might not be known to you?

president Buhari and his cabinent. Buhari why
cant you be merciful just for once in your life time,
we the newly recruited immigration officers
wishes to inform you that now that you have odered the cancellation of our recruitment
exercise, but remember the process we passed
through for this three month hectic training at
our various states command. Well as for me i
stand to loose nothing but what about others,
some have to resign from their varoius places of work hoping that this will come to a reality but to
my greatest suprise, you have done the worst.
Almost 1,600 youths engaged in weapon
training just tell me if we were denied of this job
what will happen? Armed robbery and all sort of
social vices. Please fellow Nigerians what step can we take to debunk all this that is happening
concerning this immigration controversy?
