A motorcycle rider also known as Okada and a student were crushed to death this morning by a trailer along University of Agriculture road, North Bank, Makurdi.

According to eyewitnesses, as the motorcycle tried to overtake the trailer, the latter lost control and crushed the okada man and a female passenger, later found to be an accounting student of the College of Advance and Professional Studies (CAPS) Makurdi.

Both died on the spot with their brains scattered on the roadside as people gathered.

when will our govt finally ban these okadas

When will the government also ban trailers and all vehicles? Afterall they get into accidents everyday especially with tankers falling over every other day. In this instance d trailer lost control and then u ask when okada will be banned!
Is banning the solution?

I ride okada in neighborhoods but the first thing I tell the driver is that I'm a cyclist too and the minute he starts any nonsense riding that I'm going to choke the shyte out of him from the back.

I either get (1) oya oga get down or (2) no worry sir, I be safe guy

I do not understand why Nigerian passengers allow themselves to be driven/riden about just any how.

Just HELMET would have saved them.
