A large percentage of the populace would still visit a 'DOCTOR' when they've got eye issues.they are oblivious of tha fact that there are specialists.Optometry has got potentials and is fast gaining ground as evidenced in the US where it is now the 12th most lucrative job.this is the US am talking about(where even drug pushing myt be considered as a job).i think in a couple more years,optometry will be up there

exactly! such a wide course should share a faculty with medicine like Dentistry does. I once saw a 400l optometry student reading, mehn! you need to see elaborate diagrams of laborious standards, more like those diagrams in anatomy where you can't even tongue the labels.

Lol. Some Optometry students wear lenses even though their sights isn't frail..
