Help Needed On MTN SIM Backup by Philcool(op): 12:06am On Jan 12, 2013
I have just lost my phone (MTN) this afternoon. I need the line back urgently in order to be able to meet up expected incoming calls on that MTN line. Please, how do I do SIM retrieval online? Is there any provision for such please? Does SIM backup bring back all information on SIM and phone memory or only contacts on previous the SIM when retrieved? Please all hands on deck please.

Sorry for your loss. To perform SIM swap online (retrieve your SIM) you'll need your Security Number. Using your Security Number you can retrieve your line through the Web Self Service portal Here. SIM swap is also possible using the Self Care Application Here, you'll need your Security Number for this app too. If you used SIM backup before your loss, you'll be able to retrieve your SIM and phone contacts, visit SIM Backup for more info. Cheers

P.S Call 180 or tweet @MTN180 to retrieve your Security Number

Thanks all, sorry I had not come back here to say a big thanks since then. I now back up my contacts on Google and my PC too.
