The Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse II is dead. He died in Lagos last night of an as yet to be disclosed ailment. He had been on the throne since 1987.

RIP to him. He was very bold and fearless. Stood up to GEJ and Tompolo in the last administration. His people will miss him.

May his soul rest in peace. He was a respected monarch who wasn't given to talking anyhow like one monarch in the south west.

Last year, he gave his life to christ, though it stirred alot of controversies. Gentleman to the core.
