poverty in Africa is not limited to black Africa ( I consider it over generalization). Egypt a light skin Africa country is not performing better than Nigeria, Botswana ( black southern Africa country ) is doing better than Tunisia ( light skin north Africa nation).
Algeria is a poorer country than say Angola despite her oil wealth. poverty is not a black Africa phenomenon alone my brother.

You do have some valid point on how we haven't been able to take some advantage we have, like the abundant fossil fuel that has not been used to power our nation and head us towards industrialization, or abundant arable land that we haven't take advantage of to become net food exporters, or our iron ore deposit that we haven't translate into something huge.

The solution to me is in education, colonization was a disaster for most Africa state, people with conflicting ideologies were lumped together for selfish European capitalism, institutions were not put in place and Africans were educated in a way that will make us mentally dependent on the west. Thanks to the internet age and the emergency of stronger Asia power house (China, Korea and japan), The initiative is gradually moving east and we cant afford to missed out.

It is specially painful that a yoruba man was in charge of this country for eight years but failed because of his unseriousness.
Also a man (jonathan) from the street became president but too confused to do right thing. Military people also were too insincere, they ruled and ruined the country.
I am sure if this senselessness continues the country would reach a breaking point and everybody would go their own way.

If God was for the whites alone,Nigeria wouldn't have been one of the most endowed countries when it comes to natural resources in the world. brother the Asian economy grew after realisations that they were behind the west, behind the world, they weren't very good in sports, they weren't excellent in warfare, they aren't models either, but they were very smart people capable of great things, they realised their inferiority to the west at the time but realised their advantages and thanks to Mao of China, systems were created to enable technological advancement, they stole ideas and made them theirs, the Chinese almost never invented much but they innovated technologies and from these created an enabling environment that ensure they became the production capital of the world, they tied their currency to the dollar and traded on that irrespective of their currency strength, nations must realise their weakness and raise strengths towards overcoming such weaknesses

Dont mind the God stuff and Satan bullshyt I wrote up there. Am actually a Deistic philosopher who doesnt believe in Satan or whatever ilks he possesses. I just added those differentiation to draw attention to the topic. God actually created everybody.... Both black and white! I dont believe in the existence of Satan. Rather I believe in the existence of evil which can be traced back to the creator. My question is why the blackman has chosen to manifest his evil part more than his good part!!! It really baffles me!

we live in the world where ideas are stolen....its wrong to assume that Asians are naturally intelligent, they achieved their present feet by hard work and taking responsibility rather than blame government for their predicament.

who told you Asians are bad at sport? China won more medals in the last Olympic than the entire Africa contingent.

I was in Lome, Cotonou and Ghana last week. Only NIGERIA has the worst border post, despite being richer than the other three countries. Only NIGERIA has the highest number of check points from Agbara to Seme border -over 10 check points. The road on the NIGERIAN side ( mile 2 to Seme) is horrible.

My problem is with over generalization....black are not inferior to other people or race, we are coming up and with hard work we will get their.

Politicians all over the world are corrupt but institutions are needed to check mate their activities. Those institutions are present in most western countries but are lacking in third world society which all AFRICA fall into.

I raised a similar thread weeks ago, questioning the primitive routine habits most of our people engage in that are dragging us behind, and as I expected, many people attacked and insulted me. I didn't care because I know how our people think and behave.

Whether we like to accept it or otherwise, there's something terribly wrong with our mentality and habits; these in turn are responsible for our outward lifestyles and environments. It's abnormal to see such level of degradation and filth so close to millionaires but this is Nigeria where very few people think beyond their immediate comfort and happiness.
