In as much is a good gesture to the cripple cobbler who will ride the Okada for him. Since he is cripple all he needs is a wheel chair and a working tools to support his business, then channel the rest in form of scholarship to the children.

Fayose tweet above said "the cobbler shop got burnt and he lost his tools" why not get him another tools to make him remain in biz. Why okada? since he wasnt an okada rider before now.

Ekiti state is heading in a direction of self governance.

Yesterday, it was sharing of rice, chicken and oil to the people of Ekiti, today na cobbler who knows which way tomorrow. This is no more governance, this is looking more like show biz.
did u read where it was stated that he gave the cripple #500k. Think before typing trash

I'm confused. What will a cripple do with okada? Is that safe?
So many things sire. He might give it out to a person to use it to transport people and goods and at the end of each day the person will delivered some substantial amount of money to the cobbler man...he might sell it and use the proceed from the sale of the bike to procure his needed tools and some other things that will be of great benefit to him.

I guess majority of the folks running Gov.Fayose around for giving the young entrepreneur cum cobbler an Okada(motorcycle).... forget that they are inadvertently advertising to the whole world how limited their ability to reason is.....
Yes....the gentle is physically challenged from their analogy means that he is ineligible to own a motor cycle as an asset.......The same motorcycle he could get somebody who does not suffer from the same disability like himself to either convey him around on with for a fee as his employer or alternatively use for commercial purposes for daily returns....
They equally forget that the conventional Okada can be modified by welders with two additional wheels constructed and added to its side wheels to offer same stability so that it can be riden by folks with disability....
For folks who are resdudent along the popular Airport Road in Abuja.....they can attest to see one of our physically challenged compatriots cruding around one of these reconstructed and modified Okada commuting daily to & fro his residence from the outskirts of the city centre daily without fail......
Going through the above posts....l think I'll go with the expartriate Indian who some few days ago boisterously chided and made derogatory remarks that Nigerians and Nigeria produces nothing.....that we import everything....including intelligence.....I dare add basic intelligence aka common sense.....
Who would be naive to put these guys with leadership or decision making positions.....folks who lack the ability to be able to dispassionate appraise and appreciate facts as presented to them in this scenario......These are folks who will run businesses aground....they are simply unemployable....
Kudos once again to Gov. Ayo Fayose for riding up to the occasion to meet the needs of our physically challenged compatriot....who unlike so many of his peers did not take to begging....was himself an entrepreneur of repute until he met with the misfortune that fate had used to bring him to meet with and share from the benevolence of Mr. Governor.......
Kudos once again to Mr. Governor.....

I have never typed anything trashy!

I read the part of the N500,000. Since he tweet, that the cripple man lost all his tools to fire, why cant the governor donate a new tools + money and let the man remain in biz. I bet this man will not return to his biz, he will believe the money will be enough to start a better biz and mean while the new biz may collapse in days or months.

If he has given him a new tools, this man may remain in his biz and use the money for other things. Now, what is the essence of the Okada?

If i may ask you a question? #2million naira now in cash or a job in your dream company. What will you choose?

Giving the man new shop paid for 6months and new tools to work with would have been the right tin to do,ur presence in presenting the place to him has already brought him more customers, cuz his story will be made public.#jstcommonsense#

If you'll understand me, in ekiti, you can have one okada and if you really know what you're doing, you'll make it in life.....he can give it to someone who will always work with it and deliver money to him every evening and in time, he could buy more ...that's day to day earning .God be with him ..

Go back and dispassionately re-read both the tweet and the OP story once again.......
And juxtapose it with a your comments thus far......
The sum of #500,000 alongside the Okada was offered to the beneficiary......
Your sanxtimonious excuses are lame duck.....
Never be in a hurry to make comments when you do appreciate the story in the OP post....
