https://cdn.dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/tinubu-buhari-akande-1024x621.jpg?a1f46c The National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, has asked the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party to keep its mouth shut if it has nothing meaningful to say. Tinubu strongly warned members of the former ruling party to remain silent on national issues because they ruined the country before their exit on Many 29. He stated this while speaking with State House correspondents after visiting President Muhammadu Buhari, along with Bisi Akande at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday. His visit is coming barely 24 hours after former president, Olusegun Obasanjo also visited the Presidential Villa. The former Lagos State governor also refuted the report in some quarters that himself, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former interim National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, were battling over who would emerge as the chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT). He insisted that the party was focused on supporting President Buhari to achieve his goal of transforming the nation. He said, “Don’t listen to rumours, there is no struggle. Our party is not even looking at the direction of power struggle or anything of such. “The support structure is to encourage and support the President as you have heard from Chief Bisi Akande, to help him institutionalize his goal, principle and vision for a new Nigeria.” On people attacking the president for not releasing his ministerial list, he said: “There is pitfall in rushing, quick fix, depending upon the depth of the rot. And that rush can cascade into mistakes of unimaginable magnitude. There is equally glory and recovery in slowness, when you have a slow fix of a bad foundation. “So to me, I would rather take the one that will last the country and endure for a longer period of time than the rush hour shopping.” He also disagreed with the Peoples Democratic Party’s claim that President Buhari was dictatorial. The APC chieftain said, “I disagree with that. He was elected on a platform of democracy, he has adhered to rule of law so far. What is dictatorship about what he has done? He has helped to stimulate the economy in the various states and that is where the people are. So what is dictatorship? “And the institutional paralysis had occurred in the country. It is very important for a steady man like the President to really help the nation recover from the paralysis and that is what he is doing. So I don’t see what is dictatorial about that.” “If they don’t have anything to say, they rather be quiet. They created what is wrong here today and we can’t sweep that under the carpet. There must be rule of law,” he added http://dailypost.ng/2015/09/09/pdp-should-keep-quiet-they-created-the-problem-we-are-facing-today-tinubu/ |

Exactly my point. You messed and chased everyone out of the bus, now you're blaming the driver for not taking everyone to school in time, not minding the fact that the bus was late because it took sometime for people to get back Into the bus. Isn't PDP shameless? |

The Jagaban of Gbogun has spoken. Our travails as a people and nation now stem from PDP's misrule of 16 years starting from OBJ since 1999. |

Tinubu needs to learn his history. The problem with Nigeria can be traced back to the 37 wasted years of draconian military rule, which this President was a major part of. All through those years, PMB and the khaki boys failed to * Conduct a standard census to enumerate the total population of Nigeria so as to have enough data for planning. As at 1991, we were still using data gotten from the 1963 census * To build a strong fiscal system * To improve the agricultural sector * To restructure the power sector * To improve the health sector, by formulating a National health care plan * To improve the dilapidated infrastructures in the country * To strengthen the judicial system * To improve the financial institutions, by regulating their activities * To improve the petroleum sector which accounted for most of our revenue * Under their watch, the economy was shrunk from a multifaceted economy with many viable sources of revenue into a monoeconomy hence, making us fall victim to the DUTCH DISEASE * They mismanaged our debt profile, and made a mess of debt servicing, thereby making us unreliable to the international markets, and making us a slave to the likes of the Paris club * They even failed at security, which was their number 1 job * To formulate viable economic policies which would have taken into cognizance the future of the country * To build a strong capital and money market * To improve the manufacturing sector * To industrialise the nation The truth is that the military: PMB included, just like he is doing once more, failed to plan, and so planned to fail. The military spent its time more on chasing shadows and trying to maintain control of the people so as to remain in power. The PDP, has spent the last 16 years, trying to clean up the mess created by the military in cohorts with selfish and myopic individuals like TINUBU and AKANDE. Unfortunately, once more, this people are back to destroy all the PDP have selflessly done to make this nation great. |

TolaOluwatosin:the fact that the leader of the APC, i.e the man of probity himself isn't a political jobber and has reduced the influence of the PDP migrants into membership status for electioneering purposes has made me confident that the sheeps from PDP will be shepherd in the right direction. |
