Yes i am talking of mobile theme but the said theme can be viewed on desktop which kind of sucks

* I am not boasting of any design I am just telling you that your mobile theme is not best in Nigeria as you boasted showing you mine as a reference.
* I thought you are talking of the mobile theme now you are switching to desktop. I am using a heavily edited 1.8 theme. I may access your theme on my laptop later but why do you think I can't install any theme of my choice?
* Mybb mobile comes with default profile avatar but I removed it as I don't see the need. There also may be issue with the theme on 1.8 version as it was designed on 1.6, the last time I talked with Jason he told me he will not update it until 2.0 is released.

Sorry sir, i didnt know you were experienced, i just have one question if nairaland is not using php, what is is using (only html? )
and the default gomobile's avatar is not well designed, gomobile is well known for the plugin.
BtW i started using mybb 2011 sir stopped after some time and started fully last year.

Right now i am really confused can any Nairaland admin please elaborate how a forum like this is not using php

and sir i dont think that theme is heavily edited

Thanks, although i think i was misunderstood, i definitely acknowledge that nairaland is a site that is a lot bigger and better than mine, i was proud of my site's features and that got to my head a little, i know how hard it is to design and develop a site, mostly a forum, blogs are easier, and i do acknowledge that seun being able to design and develop a site for 10+ years is very commendable, i just know a lot of forums that look the same or like nairaland, 99.9 of them are greater than mine, so all am saying is my site is different, Permit me to say unique, from typical nigerian forums, not better than all of them.

There is nothing unique in open source script you u are running on.
I think you should go and learn the 'stuff' instead of babbling how 'great' your design is, you really have a very loooooong way to go.

Am not talking about the source or script, the only reason i mentioned mybb is because of this post

Mybb is the best free open source forum script, that's why I am using it. Any website running on it is not unique because it is open to source, if you want something unique you may have to code your custom script. I also have a Xenforo powered forum @ http://sajforum.com I purchased the license when I wanted to learn zend framework.

Permit me to say it is the best designed Nigerian forum optimized for mobile, yes nairaland.com is big but the design is pretty basic.

Well why code something from scratch when another of 12 years has been coded already, I love xenforo but I can't bring myself to paying for the license maybe when my online income increases significantly I would migrate, but I still think mybb is the best FREE open source forum script,


One thing I would really like for nairaland.com is the Quick reply feature, don't the Admins plan on it
