Several readers repeatedly discussed this same issue less than 50 pages ago. No you can't work before school starts. That's illegal. You have to enroll in school before you can work.

I would recommend that you use the CIC website to confirm what anyone tells you, especially if it could have a high impact on your legality in Canada.

If you want to work under the table, that's a different story (I'm not recommending it tho).

Rolandy 's case is different, he can actually work full time once he has his sin number, he's to resume in january, so he's not breaking any rules.

The other person, is to resume already and wants to defer/take a break to work and make money.

I know someone that got in before resumption date and worked fulltime before school resumed in sept, and offcourse it was legal.

good morning, pls my cousin got admitted into university of Manitoba(pbde in education) to resume in January, she just found out she's pregnant, pls what's her fate
, will she be given visa? (she's married)

An applicant being pregnant is not a basis for refusal of study permit. However, if asked to go for medicals, you will need to be honest and inform the Panel Physician carrying out your medicals that you are pregnant and depending on how far along the applicant is this will inform the doctor's decision to carry out either the usual full medical or delay certain parts of the medical due to health reasons until when a full medical can be undertaken.
I will suggest an upfront medical ASAP if she has not applied already.

Yeah, I got my TRV within a month. Am going for an MBA/MSc at Vancouver Island University. Like I said before, only my SOA, and tuition of 80% already paid. Still trying to hook up with VIU peeps (male & female) whether already in Canada or Leaving before January as I am trying to sort out my accommodation

employment letter, letter of introduction, study leave letter stating leave conditions (paid or unpaid, leave duration etc), pay slips, you could also choose to get one or two letters or reference/recommendation from hod/supervisor/colleage.

thank you so much.

The problem with these threads (all the parts) is that there's just so maaaaaaaaaany irrelevant information, it's hard to sort them and comprehend. Abeg, I'm not trying to put anybody down. But I can't find the things I need, even after going through pages and pages of part7-9.

I see many people doing biometrics same day. Guess they applied with paper at the embassy. Can anyone please just let me know how I do biometrics, if I apply online? Thanks.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by Antoinne: 1:01pm On Sep 11, 2015
And has anyone ever applied for the Acceptance Certificate for Studying in Quebec? How long did that take?
Thanks.

To answer u, as soon as u apply online, u will get a message on ur CIC account with the instruction for ur biometric(Biometrics letter). It is up to u to decide when u wanna go for it as u have abt 30days to get it done,so it is still possible for online routers to do biometric same day just apply like 12am and get ur letter say by 7am and head to VFS

The fact that some questions asked and answered by peeps here do not apply to you for now do not make them irrelevant. Simply asking for how to proceed with your biometrics would have sufficed.
Now, after submitting your application online you will receive a biometrics instruction letter in your MyCIC account check under messages, print out this letter + international passport (hard copy) + two photocopies and head to VFS lekki or VFS abuja for your biometrics to be obtained. There is no extra charge if you submit online and NGN300 for SMS is optional.

She should start by being honest with whatsoever information she would be asked..Tell ur panel physician when ur going for medicals. Also try to make preparations for the unborn as part of ur requirements before applying. I haven't read anywhere CIC is against pregnant pple applying. Should u be given visa,u might need to check that u are not almost due when boarding.

The gurus in this area can help out..I no too sabi this one!

bro i submitted my application lastweek tuesday and went for biometrics on wednesday. i got a mail that my application has been updated. under review of biometrics information it still says 'not needed at this time' . is there any cause for alarm or thats the normal procedure?

There is nothing to worry about bruv, before going for biometrics the status will be "we need the applicant's biometrics" and "not needed at this time" is the correct status after your biometrics has been successfully obtained and uploaded. So when are you starting the fasting and praying?
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by favourities101(m): 1:51pm On Sep 11, 2015
lol. i have started already. will come here to testify by God's grace.

Mac often corrupts PDF forms, especially feature-packed like CIC ones. You have to use original Adobe software to avoid any troubles. When I ordered GCMS I received the consent form, opened it on my Mac and printed as required; then I received an email from visafile.info that the printed form is empty (which it was). I then opened the same PDF on windows computer with Adobe Reader and found that the form was actually pre-filled, and I did not see it on my Mac!

Anyway, even if you apply on paper, barcodes are supposed to be attached to the forms.

Thank you! I have filled the form on a windows computer and finally seen the bar codes. Getting ready for submission on monday.

Hello house! Final got admission to Fanshawe college. Pratical element of mechanical engineering for jan resumption. I Want to pay first semester fee but due to restriction on Nigeria master card of minimum of 1000usd daily I haven't been able to pay!
Please is there any other alternative apart from bank transfer?
Please is it necessary to apply for gmcs file before second application or I should just go ahead and apply?
How do I go about sop as this is my 2nd application?
Reasons for first denial in August humber college
1) family ties in Canada and home country
2) purpose of visits
3) traveling history
4) personal assets and financial status

Tackling all this boosting my fixed deposit to 1.3m from 500k with a improved salary account from 800k to like 1m
I also change the 3years diploma to 1year post graduate certificate
Also a lawyer / governor attestation on my land worth 1m

As for family ties I'm lost there cos my immediate elder bro travelled to Canada from Nigeria in May on a visit and left in June! I added his traveling doc in the first application

Main sponsor was elder bro with balance of 220kcad n mom with balance of 26kcad
Plus leave letter from office to recieve 70% of monthly salary for the years of study.

I just need straight advise please

Thank you

The VO is not satisfied with the authenticity of the account statement you provided. He says it didn't come presented in the required format and that there's no summary of transactions, which I think usually comes on the first page. I stand to be corrected though. How did you obtain the bank statement? Did you include all the pages of the statement in the application?
