All LCD lights on the system comes up apart from the screen; caplocks light, wireless key light, even the fluorescent that illuminates HP at the back of the screen comes up

well I will recomend that you should replace the motherboard that will give you a permanent solution

ok try this

remove your chager
remove your battery
hold the on/off button for 60 secs
then fix everything back, then try oning it again, if it still not displaying try the above steps again for about 8 times

Let me clarify you,any laptop having a video graphic array that is not Intel always develop that fault along the line, when such occur nothing can be done in terms of parmanent solution except you change the whole mother board.
The temporal solution is 50/50 for i have profer to so many that eventually stop bringing up same issue and some other after a while it pop up again.

I have also done one that brought back the issue after 4days.

Getting another board for core i5 be ready to spend up to 35 k best advice is try temporal solution once and plan for board replacement or another laptop with intel graphic.

If you want a permanent fix, change the damn mother board.
Unless you want the 'VGA' to be heated as a temporary/immediate fix but you got no guarantee.

I am also facing the same issue, Initially tthe screen will come up after removing the battery for 30minutes to 1 hour but now, it doesn't come up again. So you mean I have to get a new mother board for a laptop I bought not up a month? How much will the mother board for HP 250 G3 quad core cost?

Did you buy it 'new' or 'fairly used'? Were you giving warranty for the product bought?

Yes I bought it brand new and my warranty is still active. When I checked online, it's set to expire October next month.
