There's always no justification for lawlessness. People should learn to do the right things, some people have being trading there for years, they can afford a decent shop but they won't because they prefer trading illegally and misusing their profits |

KAI is a fraud and those guys are thieves, must u take away their goods? Dis is Nigeria and dis pple are trying to help theirselves and families and a government is taking away their little means of survival, dis is what I hate abt lagos state, give them places to sell and buy.. Support them not make them cry, what wil happen to the ones who can't get back their goods, will they av to steal to start ibere again and u think most of them will not decide to be arm robbers to survive? Not even now that the festive is around, I'm sure most of them will have to rob people cos dey need to survive |

slimfit1:The same government is levying these traders for the space. I personally frown at road side traders, because they obstruct traffic and also endanger their lives, but I believe Lagos govt can still do something noble about this situation without inflicting more injuries. They could be relocated to spaces affordable to their level. There's always a mutual way out of every situations if you mean well. |

Godmother:will hunger make you put your self in harm' s way You go and ask them if there is no provision for a market? They refuse to trade there. the Agberos use this source as a means of enriching themselves. Ask yourself the toll collected from these guys where it goes to? No reasonable Govt. will give you permit to trade by the roadside hence the forceful evacuation by the relevant bodies( KAI) |

When the law is enforced, Nigerians whinge. When the law is not enforced, Nigerians whinge. What do you people want? |
| Re: See What KAI Did To Traders At Berger by rapmike(m): 9:56am On Sep 16, 2015 |
I don't understand why some people are hard on the government. You guys want fresh water, fine roads and good environment, yet you still want street hawking and selling of goods. It does not work that way. I just feel that the current government could find a means of creating a market around there and link it to the road. That way, those that want to buy stuff can do so. |

Gombs:Law against street trading! We must understand dat we ar not running animal kingdom, wea dia is no law and order. You cannot claim right for some people at detriment of others. We must also understand dat robbers mingle with these so call traders to rob un suspecting car occupants at d slightest hold up, dey will break dia windscreen and forcefully cart away dia belongings. If we truly seek for security of lives and properties we must be ready to sacrifice, is not everything dat we should weep up sentiments . Lastly selling on d street is xtremly dangerous to both d Seller and Buyer as vehicle could loose control and ram into dem. Pls let us support d government, is for our own gd. |

| Re: See What KAI Did To Traders At Berger by olu4life(m): 10:18am On Sep 16, 2015 |
Nawa o. Talk of double standards. Same Nigerians shouting and clamouring for change also justifying this stupid act of traders selling on the road. How would the change come? What stupid hunger would allow a reasonable man to sell on the road? Did they tell u there are no more shops to sell? Please and please let's reason before commenting. If u know what this people cause, u would keep shut. I wish they can come to my estate and do this, turned the entrance to a market place. Absolute rubbish |

Gombs:The law of not selling their wares by the roadside. There are designated places for trading, so let them go to such places and operate peacefully. Must you always break the law simply because you are poor? This poverty mentality wil take more people to hell than sin itself. #yimu |

RichDad1:I am against trading on the road/drainage but can't the culprits be arrested without destroying there goods... We need to educate the market, then put measures to discourage road trading. ... all those touts that the road/hackers give money to be allowed to trade, who is arresting them? |
| Re: See What KAI Did To Traders At Berger by Nobody: 10:40am On Sep 16, 2015 |
I just feel there has to be a better way of trading. Come to VGC roundabout in Lekki/Ajah and you will weep for the road. Traders have turned the extreme right lane on that roundabout to a full blown market, I'm talking tomatoes, pepper, plantain, that type of shhh ![]() Now motorists have to use only the left and middle lane on the roundabout to avoid running over them. Please there must be a better way, haba. Left to me, all hawkers should go too, there has to be a better way. Btw, which kind of struggling hawkers are selling stolen iphones, watches, shades, toys, pots and pans... then you start to think, like how? Where did theses guys get these goods from? So its like they already have a market, but just wanna feel extra sharp by bringing their wares to the road. Some of them wil even come to your window and start staring inside your whole car, like wtf? That type of shh isnt supposed to be normal yo ![]() |
| Re: See What KAI Did To Traders At Berger by Nobody: 10:42am On Sep 16, 2015 |
They get more customers by the roadside than in shops that are located in remote areas.I am not supporting roadside trading tho. |
| Re: See What KAI Did To Traders At Berger by free2ryhme: 10:42am On Sep 16, 2015 |
if you would not accept any of your family relatives to sell by roadside then you have no justification to condemn KAI, Morals and Laws have been reduced to dustbin in this country |
