Is It Too Late To Start My Programming Career? by engrrichie92(m): 8:10am On Sep 16, 2015
I'm 23, just about passing out ..and for one reason or the other, one of which was I was out of a laptop for over a year due to financial constraints,I couldn't learn programming and even before that time, I started and stopped halfway @ some point
Now I have a laptop, with a renewed inspiration and enthusiasm...
just started with one book on c#
and one part of me won't stop sayin..it's late considering all I still need to learn
and to tell you the truth,if I'm gonna delve in,I wanna be the one of the best in the field
how realisable's this and how many years will it take me to get to this height?

You are not too old to become anything. Old dogs can still be taught new tricks. We have heard of people who picked up new skills at old age, and still made impact. So, get all the materials you need, and study hard, and the sky won't even be your limit.

I'm older than you and I started this year February. Age should not be an excuse for quitting. Anyway the choice is yours.

Age is no barrier my bro.
As long as your brain can understand what you trying to do.
My piece if advice if you want to learn fast is to read different books teaching same stuff.
For example if you read a book on say variables , try to watch different videos from different teachers on variables too and other books.that way you learn about the topic from different people who come with their perspective and it helps solidifying the knowledge.
Try to finish one book first o before jumping to another book but in between watch videos on topics you have already read. You will be amazed on how fast you learn.
My own Case was that I started programming at at age 19-20 and I was really into it and has started wirting stuffs then got admission to study physics in unilag and I thought I could combine the two but trust the Nigerian system I was never going to graduate due to the stress of the course so I dropped programming painfully but I just graduated this year and now am back and the funny thing is its like I never left because I understand all the stuffs I learnt before with so much ease.its like it was just waiting for me to come back. You can do it just be dedicated and work hard and smart.
Good luck bro.
