I graduated with a 2.2 but was promised a lecturing job, I don't know if mine will pull through although I applied through d H.O.D and I don't speak with him directly because I contacted him through a proxy

Also I have plans to apply for my MEng this month but I'm thinking if I should wait and use TETFUND but I'm thinking it may bounce since I have a 2.2

You have to be a masters degree holder Op before you can get a lecturing job. They were even contemplating on taking it higher to Ph.D sometime ago. What you should be worried about now is if your CGPA can take your to masters.

u re current my dear. Especially now that most universities are demanding minimum of 3.0 CGPA before u can get admission for masters. I initially thought d were joking but d became serious about it and now dt policy is spreading like wild fire. God Help our youths in this country.

With a second class lower you can get a lecturing job. There may be some conditions if you are willing to pursue a masters degree in the no distant future

sell the idea of you getting a masters since you are doing it through your connection it may likely work

yes,
start by doing a PGD , proceed to do a Masters in your discipline. .
with your masters, you could find a less competitive institution to start your lecturing career and take it up from there. If u turn out to be really good, your work will speak for you.

Limitations are meant to be surmounted!

U're very correct.... A minimum of 3.0....
But any serious student who wants to further after his first degree, a CGPA of 3.0 shouldn't be a problem.

Yes you can, in a secondary school.

You can be anything you want to be with a 2.2/or third class degree.

Go for masters as you are lecturing.


You can't be a lecturer with a first degree you can only be a graduate assiatant.

get your master degree first before thinking of lecturing Job



and you should do well in your master degree before you are consider for it. (having a grade of proceeding to PhD)

It Is V.V. Possible. With Ur 2.2, U Can Become A Leturer. Only That, U Wil Be Lecturing JSS 3 Or SS1 Students. And At Worst, Primary 5 Pupils.

That CGPA thing can be very frustrating when it comes to classifying degree levels. E.g Just imagine the fact that a 2.51 CGPA holder falls in thesame level with a 3.45. It's Unimamginable when it comes to Job seeking, but can only be considered when trying to apply for post-graduate programmes.

Y must he do pgd? If he had a good 2:2, he doesn't need to go for pdg. Some uni accept minimum of 3.00, while some accept 2.7, 2.5 or 2.6
