I've been really bothered about this as a Christian, the Scriptures commands us to rest and worship Yehovah on Saturday, but that's not the case...Sunday which is the 1st day of the week is now set aside for worship...And why is nobody talking about this??Why do our pastors and churches turn blind eyes to parts of the Scriptures that they are not comfortable with?abi are we meant to choose the laws we like and avoid the rest??

But just as U̶̲̥̅̊ clearly stated nearly the entire Christian world goes to church abd worships on sunday. Why is dt ? This is because the Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday.

aΩ̴̩̩̩̥d̶̲̥̅̊ We go to Church on a specific day of the week because of the sabbath commandment. The ten commandment can be found in Exodus 20:3-17. GOD has nt only given us he command to keep the sabbath holy, but has also told us how to keep it holy. Read Exodus20:8-11. This commandment tells us that GOD's sabbath is the seventh day of the week. GODs holy sabbath day is saturday. Sunday is the first day of the week.

Many claim today that d Old testament was abolished by the new testament n so no longer applies to Us, but remember 2timothy 3:16 'All scriptures is given by inspiration of GOD' (U̶̲̥̅̊ may read further on ur own) this verse specifically refers to d Old testament aΩ̴̩̩̩̥d̶̲̥̅̊ it tells us the Old testament is just as much in force today as when it was written... The verse also indicates that all d commandements will be in effect forever, d Sabbath Law inclusive. Even JESUS always kept the Sabbath while here on earth (Luke4:16)@least dt was a New testament era aΩ̴̩̩̩̥d̶̲̥̅̊ JESUS had d custom of keeping the Sabbath. So whose steps are we supposed to follow ? Ur Pastors or what thr bible truly says? I attend church sometimes five days in a week. Should I do that only on Saturdays?

All I'm saying is that the day one goes to church should not be the issue(Saturday or Sunday). The paramount thing is that we are going to worship God which we can even do in our homes but to fulfil that part of the scriptures that says "...Do no forsake the assembly of yourselves together...", we gather in "church".

Let me clearly explain things to you:
Sunday is the last day of the week not Saturday. If you're to greet anyone today, you say "A ku weekend" in Yoruba. Even telecommunication companies will introduce their plans covering Saturday and Sunday as "Weekend plans". I seriously don't understand why you guys keep referring to Sunday as 1st day of the week.
God started His work on the first day & first day of work is what? Monday not Sunday. You don't start anything with rest, you only rest at the end of work & Sunday is the only day not included as working day officially (worldwide) except for some special jobs.

The new trend of Saying Sunday is the first day was started by Pastors & followers trying to start new week religiously since it's easier to say "this week is your week" than saying "next week is your week"

It's so confusing that on Monday, you hear people greeting themselves "Happy new week", if Sunday is the first day, why are they not using such greeting on Sunday.?

It's okay. This issue is a complicated one coz you'll hear contradicting views. This is one reason I always wish God had a house here on earth and comes visiting from time to time, this your question would have been answered long ago.

Focus on worshipping God, whether Monday or any other day. God is still God in all the days of the week.

If the resurrection changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, wouldn't the disciples have known? But they continue worshipping on Saturday throughout d Bible. Luke 23:55-56, Acts 17:2, 18:4, etc.

Corinthians 16:2, Colossians 2:16-17, and Revelation
