Really disappointed with amc

They have sort of milked out all possible spin-offs...they just suddenly lack creativity
From talking bad to fear the walking dead...the other one is better call saul...the next cud be don salamancar or the chicken man or anything

I mean this is AMC that churned out mad men, hell on wheel, breaking bad, better call saul and even rubicon..

Fear the walking dead ko love the walking dead ni

The bolded is hilarious.

I think for the love of TWD, we have to be patient with FTWD.

TWD still had its barren days, and still will in the season to come.

we have gotten so used to Rick and his crew, to the point that anything else seems alien and boring.

It'll spark up in its time.

true!! But TWD already gained ground as a very interesting series!! So it had faithful viewers despite the "barren days'' FTWD just dashed my hopes from day one.. I don't even get anxious to see new episodes!! I hope AMC knows what they are doing..I'm definitely loosing my grip!!

I don't really Think so, It's still episode 1 and i believe much of preambles are still needed to be made.

We should just sit relax and watch things unfold.
Pilot copy looks promising to me though.
tolzeal, I'll try to be patient..they better live up to expectations!!

No, its the real TWD however, what they did is split season 6 into 2 or more parts and release some part of it as season 7.

Fear the living, man.

This episode turned out better than i expected. I like Ruben Blades character, hope he sticks around.

I'm in the minority when I say, that I've enjoyed the slow build up. Also, that we get to see how society collapsed. Something we never got to see with TWD.

I'm just so tired of those watching it for zombie kills and explosions, bitching about how it's too boring. Like, go and cry self-service to a Michael Bay movie or something.

One thing i've learnt from all these post apocalyptic movies is dat the Military can never be trusted. I kind of knew they were gonna mess things up.

Lool! Madison giving Nick a proper beating was just funny.

Still don't get the whole idea behind FTWD. My expectations were so high at first but now has dwindled.

I stopped at the 2nd episode.. In a country where internet data bundle is treasure, I'l rather download human centipede 2 and 3 than touch another episode of AMC's fear the walking dead
Re: Fear The Walking Dead. by Rita5(f): 8:11am On Sep 24, 2015
FTWD is a fascinating series. Yes its slow but aren't all AMC's shows slow?

Now, if you're someone who primarily wanted to watch this show for zombie attacks, you might be feeling a little let down by the little amount zombie attacks in it. But the show's slow, sinuous build has earned much of its power through suggestion and hints of calamity, rather than through directly depicting awful things happening. All of this is vital to understanding the characters' psychology going forward, and just why they might make decisions they do in the zombie apocalypse to come.

One of the key themes of TWD has always been that the living characters are the real walking dead, living on borrowed time until something in their horrific world rises up and destroys them. That makes the title of this series a bit of a double entendre. Yes, fear the walking dead, but understand that the real walking dead to fear are the other human beings around you.

With a seeming military occupation setting in, the characters are beginning to grasp this.

The script for this episode(4) nicely weaves in the slowly building paranoia of the characters, completely justifying it at every turn. The show is headed toward where TWD started out, but it's breaking down its characters' psychologies in completely different ways. That's fascinating.

Now that's what I call complete dislike of a series. Human centipede I don't think any movie has worse reviews.

Your summary is awesome
Re: Fear The Walking Dead. by Nobody: 11:03pm On Sep 24, 2015
Well, after watching TWD, i can understand why people expect to see chaos, gunfights and Walkers in FTWD.
But u should know dis is a prequel. And there wont be much excitement yet as compared to TWD.

I don't ve a problem wit FTWD's pace. The only annoying thing is their cast. Most of those characters are just plain stupîd. Especially Madison. It can be really nauseating watching her character sometimes.

Well, you can only speak for yourself.

http://www.inquisitr.com/2440966/fear-the-walking-dead-drops-in-ratings-again-but-so-does-the-emmys/

As each week passes though, Fear has consistently lost viewers by as much as 19 percent per episode. Now it is coming dangerously close to losing nearly half of its original viewers, a dangerous place to be as the show is nearing the end of its first season

It is obvious that we here on nairaland are not the only ones complaining. The show is fvcked up and the characters are just dumb and annoying. angry angry angry

The reason the characters feel or seem that way not only to you as you rightly pointed out, but also to others is simply because you know more than them. Yes these characters have made stupid choices since the start of the season. It's only because they don't know better.

You forget, these are people who always try to see the good in others. Take Travis for example, he is consistent in his willingness to trust and see the good in people. It may be frustrating, but it’s also kind of nice to see the ostensible “leader” of the group (or at least the nexus of the three families) in possession of such a kind demeanor. It’s a stark contrast to Rick Grimes, in The Walking Dead. It’s also a recipe for death in a new and deadly world. Then again, when Travis can’t shoot the infected we’re reminded a bit of Morgan in the first season of the flagship series. And Morgan has stood the test of time.

These characters are learning what we all know already, and they will make annoying decisions along the way but they will learn. It might take a while but they will. These aren't hardcore individuals like those in TWD. Well except from Salazar. But i believe they will get there.

But then again i understand this might not be everyone's cup of tea, but i must say am enjoying the journey so far.

Lastly, episode 5 was the best so far. MY OPINION though.
