You're talking about single headed families as if there was never a marriage. The Convo is about having children outside wedlock also known as b word children. You can be a child born to married parents ( not a b word child)and end up in a single parent household if the relationship between your parents breaks down or they get divorced or one parent dies.

Also,it is good to observe more than just one section of society or just one type of family setup or fall out.

It is not far fetched that a child born out of wedlock with no father figure whether from biological father or wider male figure will experience a similar loss to a child born to married parents who experiences the breakdown and divorce of that marriage leading to a single parent setup where there is a loss of that father figure or male figure substitute. Especially during formative years.

In both instances it's about what comes to fill the vacuum of that absence.

You would not be forced to marry the girl though. So many double standards between male and female in Nigeria. So called culture does not impress on the male to live up to their responsibilities.

Jim Iyke has also become a father and if you check the thread on NL about it there is no single criticism of him having a so called bas.tar.d child......none whatsoever.

This is evidence of the point I was making about the night and day treatment of unmarried father's like wiz kid, timaya, davido and now Jim when compared to unmarried mothers like Nadia, Genny, Anna Banner etc
