A selected group of West African leaders met in Quagadougou yesterday to continue discussion on the current state of situation in Burkina Faso.

VP Osinbajo represented Nigeria in the meeting which was attended by all six ECOWAS leaders with the leaders of last Thursday's military coup in Burkina Faso.

It should be recalled that President Buhari on Tuesday headed an Extra-ordinary session of ECOWAS meeting in Abuja regarding the situation in Burkina Faso.It was during the summit that some selected ECOWAS leaders were selected to visit Burkina Faso.

The people of Burkina Faso on the other hand will be grateful as an impending civil war or at least military face-off which could have led to the death of a lot of people was avoided.

So I guess it is not an achievement to Nigerians. I mean what could we have gained from the political stability of another West African country apart from our donations to ECOMONG if wahala starts and the lives of soldiers that will be lost.
