Nepa no allow me watch this match wey I don dey wait for since morning.
For those of you complaining, let me inform you that Supersport is PACKAGING and broadcasting this league at a loss for now and anticipating when it will start becoming profitable to them.
How many people subscribe for DSTV because of the Nigerian league?
There is a reason they show all those African league matches LIVE on GoTV. They want to push it in our faces and whip up interest by all means.
Many of the reforms in the league came about because Supersport pushed for them. I remember when they forced all stadiums to become television-friendly before bringing their cameras to the grounds. By the way it costs about N6,000,000 to cover a single match. This is because most of the stadia don't have their own cameras. The stadia in RSA have their own cameras and this makes it easier to cover matches.
They are actually handling this league broadcast as a CSI of sorts so we should a bit grateful. We shouldn't criticise just because we feel like and even if we do, we should understand the issues sufficiently.

another major complain, those tv weren't functional so you can see replay especially those goals scored plus no commentary and at half time they couldn't at least play some music...

and I think this night football really makes sense and that's why there were turnout,, let them keep it up

You are almost right, but not quiet.
You are correct that Supersport is broadcasting those matches at a loss, they are hoping they will reap the rewards at a later stage, if the league grows in nigeria in such a way people go to subscribe wanting to watch it. Until that happens, supersport will be lossing money. I dont see the $34m deal increase in the near future because as i see it, it seems there is little improvement if not none. For example, tonight match was a history in the making, the stadium was 25% full. where are the fans?

Untill the authority take this league as a business and package it well, nothing will ever change. If they hope Supersport will just come and dish out money without any returns, they must forget it. They will run out of petient and pack their bags to the next promising african league. Nigerians themselves must start supporting local clubs and leave this useless EPL, money goes out of the country to go buy the rights of epl instead of developing local league and players.

Supersport pays more money for the South Africa league than they do for EPL. As a results, money will remain at home to develop the league and its players, hence you dont see most south african players flooding european league, because the local league pays more than most european leagues. A south african player will be mad to go and play his soccer in countries like Sweden, denmark, belgium, norway, russia, scotland, portugal, etc. There are players in the PSL who come from sweden, holland, brazil, australia, new zealand, chile, japan, columbia, and the rest of Africa.

The key to improving any league is having star players play in the league
You either buy the star players or you groom them
Star players attract fans to themselves, their teams and overall the league they play in
The attracted fans gradually build a cult following for the players (both stars and non stars), the various teams and the league in general
This is what forms the foundation for a strong league
Investors are only attracted to what people are attracted to cause what people are attracted to is what brings money
