The best habit you can indulge is having control over your appetite. Dont let your sense of sweetness be predicated to fast food flavor till you become addicted to it. Many heart and circulatory problems and unresolved sudden deaths can be traced to the food we picked up on the move. We don't have control over the seasoning or salt, or the needed hygiene. Eaters beware. |

What we eat in some of these big restaurants is basically the packaging and the exciting environment. And we pay so much for such with little in terms of biological value of what we eat there. In terms of quality and quantity, the road side bukateria is far better. I'm not just speaking casually. I'm speaking of a cumulative experience that spans over 15yrs now. |

The one that shocked me was a lady who makes snacks like buns (Nigerian deep-fried type) and puff-puff. She had these snacks in her glass display cabinet which had flies and little baby cockroaches in it. To chase away flies and cockroaches that come visiting anytime she displays here snacks, she put some ''piff-paff'' insecticide powder into the glass cabinet. The same cabinet where she had lots of buns and puff-puff. And according to her, she makes sure the powdered insecticide does not touch the snacks. And in her opinion as long as it does not touch the snacks, then all is well and good. I looked at her like... ![]() |
