I have been reading many brilliant articles on the Saraki's debacle but this one comes out the best......the writer truly chronicled the Genesis to Revelation of how not to jostle for what is not yours in the corridors of power in Saraki. The truth is, Saraki just wanted to be Senate President for his own personal and selfish ambitions and not to render any selfless services to the Nation. He missed the theory of the Banana Peel. Adieu Bukola Saraki ...... |

This writer is a fool . a man who has not been convicted is been called all manner of names in a print media simply because he exercised his right as a zoogerian. Imagine how many times the idiot tried blaming a fellow citizen for emerging the senate president. So that us his crime, why not state it as such rather than hide it under the guise is asset declaration .am disappointed |

tomakint:Your stance over the Saraki issue is really refreshing. I think Saraki would have been tolerated as SP, even as he was very corrupt, under Buhari's policy of "leave the bad ways behind and I will work with you". The nail in his coffin is the treachery and total disrespect for his Party. This quickly showed Buhari and others a sign of things to come. It revealed that Saraki is not interested in reforming. In short, it became clear Saraki will be a cog in the wheel of progress. The APC was left with no choice but to take him on after Saraki declared war on his own Party. |

aguiyi:Bruv, this is not "been smarter than his Party members". It is outright treachery the APC never ever expected and were therefore blindsided by. I think Nigerians are so used to impunity and criminality that we now interpret acts of treachery and deceit, that would be unanimously condemned elsewhere, as "smartness". Saraki was simply more cunning and more treacherous than his Party leaders prepared for. They did not expect the wholesale act of treachery, indiscipline and total disregard for Party harmony Saraki displayed. Joe Igbokwe gets it right 100% when he said what Saraki did is unheard of in the history of Party politics. Do you really understand what Saraki did, which is unprecedented, you are praising as "smart"? If you want to see Saraki's treachery and indiscipline as "smartness" then it may mean, like many Nigerians, you have a warped sense of what smartness is. http://saharareporters.com/2015/09/22/no-tears-senator-saraki-joe-igbokwe No Tears For Senator Saraki By Joe Igbokwe |

chukwudi44:My brother, Saraki's position is untenable. Like I keep telling you, his act of treachery came early in the life of a new government and regime. This means there is plenty of time to nail him. As weak as GEJ was, he would probably have dealt with Amaechi if the former governor started fighting Jonathan one month after GEJ was sworn in as President in May 2011. Saraki's biggest mistake is to think it is still 'business as usual'. |

| Re: Saraki’s Implosion: A Shameful Public Servant by Gbawe(op): 10:12am On Sep 26, 2015 |
TonyeBarcanista:PDP Senators are mainly all crooks. If they do not behave and respect the legislative victory and majority of the APC, as they enjoyed unchallenged for 16 years to produce the leaders of the upper and lower houses in all that period, then the Code of conduct Bureau will be receiving a lot of petitions. Senators enjoy no immunity and the line has now been drawn in the sand. The PDP and Saraki merely took advantage of a Buhari who initially expected others to behave themselves because his conciliatory message of "reform and I will work with you". The gloves are off now. Buhari has realised you cannot reason with some politicians and he is ready to take the fight to them. Unlike GEJ, Buhari will fight to the end. Let us see how the PDP will pull this off. When Saraki goes, the horse-trading will begin. You think the APC as the ruling Party, now aware of the PDP's game plan, has not prepared for the next stage? |

Saraki's desperation got him into this mess! Great politicians are never desperate. They think things through. You won't find them bumbling along any timeline. Desperation forced Saraki to concede the seat of Deputy Senate President to PDP! Desperation also forced him to sneak into the Senate premises like a thief. What type of leader does that! Dogara really showed class! I'm sorry, Saraki is overrated. |
| Re: Saraki’s Implosion: A Shameful Public Servant by Gbawe(op): 10:18am On Sep 26, 2015 |
Volksfuhrer:Indeed. Joe Igbokwe said it all. Saraki's conduct has never been seen in the history of Nigerian Party politics. When, in the 16 years PDP held power, did our former ruling Party have an opposition politician as deputy Senate President? Saraki does not understand the gravity of what he did, because of blind and selfish ambition, that has now left many seething with rage at his antics. My opinion is that Saraki is gone. |

Gbawe:The APC cannot "deal" with Saraki outside the ambits of the law.The court case would achieve nothing as the legal process are just too slow and APC does not have time. They just have to learn to manage him like GEJ did Tambuwal |
| Re: Saraki’s Implosion: A Shameful Public Servant by Nobody: 10:29am On Sep 26, 2015 |
Gbawe:Saraki did not make Ekweremadu the deputy Senate President, He contested and won elections as the deputy Senate President. If you want anyone to blame, put it on those fools who were at the ICC at the wrong time. Don't forget during the last regime, Tambuwal decamped to the APC and still kept his seat as speaker!! Karma is a b.itch |

Gbawe:Saraki is learning the hardway of not to be blinded by self will and greed. Gone or not he will have to live with that stigma. |
| Re: Saraki’s Implosion: A Shameful Public Servant by Nobody: 10:32am On Sep 26, 2015 |
RockMaxi:Stigma ko stigmata ni!! Wetin concern Nigerian politician with stigma? Tambuwal did a similar thing and today he is a Governor.Senators would continue to strive to be in his good books so as to secure juicy committee positions |
