To the OP, I have this questions for you.
Were those arrangement made at your present or every one present (I.e in public) or you met the arrangement. If NO, then they are hidden something and the use of glue as stated above can be justified.

If YES.
Have you consider this point of mine.
(1) that big stone may be a false stone with light weight
(2) that the stone may be real outside with an hollow inside to reduce the weight.
(3) the created hollow in 2 above can accommodate a magnet.
(4) if you reason and accept my view 2 and 3 above
(5) extend same to the second stone ( wooden like) under the glass cup.
(6) with the two stones having magnet, they both have magnetic field shielding the surroundings,
(7) they repel each other because they have different pole (N and P)
( this is where the issue of balance comes in.

To others

We don't have to deceive ourselves. no such glue will hold that arrangement except the stone is false.
No such center of gravity will balance such real stone with a tip of stick on a transparent glass cup.
No hole in the glass cup.


The close principle to my explanation is the electric train that suspend the train coaches on air above the rail.it uses magnetic principle (N and S pole).

Later the magic was busted and It was explained that the guy actually sat on a kind of chair that you can not see even with a closer look. That now remind me of what I saw in new Delhi (India ) when I went for a course. It's a huge stone tied to a stick, and the stick is sitting on a glass cup. It amazes me a lot every time I look at this picture. And there is this question that always comes to my mind . Could this be magic or science? One thing abt the so called magic is it has two type.. The white and black. Its knwn that the white magic is pure sci inventions, bt the black is spiritual... And it cnt be explained..
