Kwara Monarchs Speak On Saraki's Trial, Allege Persecution
Traditional rulers in Kwara state have condemned the trial of Bukola Saraki, the Senate president before the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

According to the monarchs, led by Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu- Gambari, their chairman and Emir of Ilorin, Saraki’s trial was not the change mantra of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Nigerians bargained for.

Speaking yesterday on behalf of the traditional leaders, Sulu-Gambari said was not wise to persecute perceived political enemy.

He said: “We come here to join our son (Bukola Saraki) with whom we are much pleased. We are ready to support him. We are here to see him on the various constitutional challenges, we would not call it problem, may God not make it a problem for us.

“It doesn’t take long for a 10- year old child to realize that our dear son, our precious son is being persecuted. The politics of persecution is not the right change for Nigeria. We want changes, we want it to be clean. He who seeks equity must come with clean hands. If you want equity, you yourself must do equity.”

Sulu- Gambari therefore called on Nigerians to beware of bad elements who are bent on dismantling the country on account of political vendetta.

What does the monarch knows about politics anyways!

my simple logical comment.... He who wants to get rid of a community crisis must start from his own house!

"An empty stomach is not a good political adviser" - Albert Einstein
Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari and his co travelers (the kwara emirate) has to defend their own shares of the loot either in the past or after the reggae Saraki will play the blues.
It is also noteworthy that monarch does not speak for the people, if it is so Jonathan could have cleared the south West in the last election.

A whole Yoruba Emir!!!

Yearning nonsense. Why not borrow a leaf from the Emirate of Dubai and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi or Kuwait. Emirates are supposed to be development and advancement focused.
